 APPENDIX I– ISRAEL’S SACRED CALENDAR.

Leviticus 23 records Israel’s history to the end in the PROPHECY of the SEVEN FEASTS.
Some Christians today think they should keep Israel’s feasts not being aware that in Christ Jesus all those symbols and prophecies of the feasts are fulfilled. He fulfills the symbolic nature of the feasts, the TYPES, and so HE is the reality not the feasts that only point to HIM.

A brief look at them will tell you why not:

In the Spring of the year these feasts were kept by Israel:
  *Passover;
  *Unleavened Bread;
  *First Fruits ….
            then a break of “Week of Sabbaths” or 50 days;
*Pentecost.
            Then a period of three months with no feasts.
After which three more feasts:
  *Trumpets;
  *Atonement;
  *Tabernacles

What do these feasts typify?

• Passover                  = The Death of Christ.
• Unleavened Bread    = The Holy Walk
• First Fruits                = The Resurrection of Christ.
• Pentecost                 = The Formation of the Church.
• Trumpets                  = The Regathering of Israel.
• Atonement               =  Israel’s National Repentance.
• Tabernacles             = The Joys of the Millennial Reign of Christ.
