The urgent need to clarify THE CHRISTIAN, BIBLICALLY SOUND understanding of LAW in SOCIETY is the motivation behind the compiling of this booklet.
Many are the forces at work in the world as we encounter a NEW AGE NEW WORLD ORDER phenomena rising into power. Many, and confusing are the voices demanding LAW, JUSTICE, INTEGRITY and ETHICS. PEACE must be established for the globe. A STANDARD for all GLOBAL CITIZENS must be established. All constitutions must merge into a GLOBAL CONSTITUTION for a NEW WORLD ORDER. SO SAY THE POWER ELITISTS of a WORLD IN REBELLION AGAINST GOD.
THE NEW LAW, UNDER CHRIST.
The desire to see THE MOSAIC LAW superimposed upon the constitution of Australia (indeed, throughout the world?) is paramount in the movement ` KINGDOM NOW' or `DOMINION THEOLOGY' What basis can we glean from scripture for so doing? Is the MOSAIC LAW only the TEN COMMANDMENTS? Can a country, indeed THE WORLD become `Christian' by enforcing the MOSAIC LAW? What does the BIBLE tell us?
THE MOSAIC LAW IS A THREEFOLD LAW.
1. It is the MORAL LAW (Ten Commandments) (Exod.20:117).
2. It is the CIVIL LAW (Exod.21:124; 18).
3. It is the CEREMONIAL LAW (Exod. 25:140; 38).
Although, of course, there was not a period in earth's history when there was no` Law', just as there was no period when there was really no `Grace', there was no WRITTEN LAW, no `MOSAIC LAW' before Moses was given it by God Himself. The Bible declares that `sin' is the `transgression of the Law' (1 John3:4), and even Adam's sin was a breaking of God's Law, spoken as the Word of God, the law laid down by God as to the eating of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. *[Reference material `Rightly Dividing the Word' by Rev. Clarence Larkin Est.].All people are accountable to God for their conduct, because of the " unwritten law" in their hearts (Romans 2:14,15), their consciences. Yet in Romans 2:12, Paul writes of those who were `without law' in the period from the Garden of Eden until Moses.
AUSTRALIA IS A GENTILE NATION.
The
`Law', the WRITTEN LAW, given to Moses was NOT GIVEN to the GENTILES.
"When the Gentiles, WHICH HAVE NOT THE LAW, do by the nature the things contained in the Law, these, having NOT THE LAW, are a law unto themselves" (Romans 2:14).
The `Law' was given by God to the nation of Israel EXCLUSIVELY. The law of the Sabbath , for instance, was given as the `SIGN' of the `MOSAIC COVENANT' (Exod.31:13; Ezekiel 20:12, 19,21). The Sabbath belongs to the Jews only, it is not a law to the Church, or to the Gentile Nations. NO WHERE in scripture does God judge any nation but Israel for not observing the Sabbath.
COMMANDMENTS UNDER CHRIST JESUS.
1. ONE GOD (1 Tim.2:5; 1 Cor.8:46)
2. IDOLATRY (1 Cor.10:7, 14; 1 John 5:21)
3. PROFANITY (Col.3:8, Matt.6:9)
4. SABBATH They are warned AGAINST keeping it. (Col.2:16,17)
5. HONOR PARENTS (Eph. 6:2)
6. MURDER (1 John 3:14,15).
7. ADULTERY (Eph. 4:28)
8. STEALING (Eph. 4:28)
9. FALSE WITNESS (Eph.4:25; 1 Cor.13:5.)
10.COVETOUSNESS (Eph.5:3).
But, in Christ alone are we justified. Ephesians 2:8,9.
THE CHRISTIAN ERA GREATLY ENLARGES THE TEN COMMANDMENTS.
" Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, not one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled". (Matt.5:1718).
WHY DID GOD GIVE THE LAW?
WAS IT TO MAKE NATIONS "CHRISTIAN"?
The `Law' was not given to make nations `Christian', or to make people righteous, or to justify them. By the `deeds of the Law' shall no flesh (or nation) be justified in God's sight (Romans 3:20, Gal. 2:16). The Law was given to show clearly WHAT SIN IS! `For by the Law is the knowledge of sin' (Romans3:20). How would one KNOW fully that `covetousness', for example, was not only unsettling, taking away peace, but SIN, if the LAW did not say `Thou shalt not COVET' (Romans 7:7). The `Law' stops our mouths from protesting and keeps the sinner from bragging self righteously. The `Law' was given as a `School Master' to lead into the New Testament grace through trust in Christ Jesus. (Galations 3:24,25).
THE RITES AND CEREMONIES OF THE MOSAIC LAW POINT ONWARD TO CHRIST.
The RITES AND CEREMONIES given exclusively to Israel (not to the Church, or to the world) POINT TO CHRIST, they are SHADOWS of HIM. (See the Feasts and Offerings). Now, in Christ, neither Jew nor Gentile is under the `MOSAIC LAW' as Christ fulfilled the ``Law'', all the rites and ceremonies found their fulfillment IN HIM. Jesus Christ is `` `THE END OF THE LAW' for righteousness, to everyone that BELIEVETH'' (Rom. 10:4).
LEGALISM under ENFORCED MOSAIC LAW is A DEAD SYSTEM (Romans7:4;
Gal. 2:19),
not a LIVING CHRISTIAN SYSTEM of TRUTH AND GRACE.
CHRIST BROUGHT AN END TO THE MOSAIC LAW.
"Think not that I am come to destroy the " `Law' or the" `Prophets'; I am not come to destroy, but to FULFILL". (Matt.5:17).
Jesus Christ kept the `Moral Law' perfectly in our stead and he also FULFILLED the `CEREMONIAL LAW' of the MOSAIC LAW. In Him was ``THE PASSOVER LAMB'', ``THE SIN OFFERING'', ``THE SCAPEGOAT ``fulfilled''. (Heb.9:1112). Read carefully the wonderful words spoken by our Lord CONCERNING HIMSELF in LUKE 24:25,27; also verse 44. CHRIST IS THE END OF THE MOSAIC LAW.
WHAT ABOUT THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, THEN? 
The Ten Commandments take on glorious enlargement in the CHRISTIAN ERA. With ONE EXCEPTION (The keeping of the Sabbath on the Seventh Day. CHRISTIANS keep the Lord's Day - the first day of the week), the commands of God are laid down in the New Testament.
PRECEPTS OF LIVING ONLY MADE POSSIBLE BY THE NEW BIRTH, AND THE INDWELLING HOLY SPIRIT.
In Christ Jesus an era was begun by the Almighty God; an era when ``The Law of Christ'' was established. (Galatians 6:2, Acts20:35; 1 Thess.5:14).
CHRIST shows in Matt.5:21,48 the glory of the new compared to the old, with its righteous living only possible to a NEW MAN, made in the image of CHRIST JESUS.
1. Christ confirmed the promises made to the Jewish Fathers under the MOSAIC COVENANT (Romans 15:8; cf Ex.19:5). Compare 1 Peter 2:9; Rev. 1:6, 5:10. The Law, in essence, was a "method of divine healing".
2. THE CHRISTIAN is not UNDER THE LAW, nor is any ``CHRISTIAN'' Country UNDER THE LAW (MOSAIC). THE LAW IS UNDER THE COVENANT OF GRACE. (Romans 3:21,27; 6:14,15; Gal.2:16; 3:10,14, 16,18, 24,26;4:21,31; Heb.10:11,17).
``TILL THE SEED SHOULD COME'' Galatians 3:17,19. THAT ``SEED'' is CHRIST.
SUM UP. . .
Can a country become ``Christian'' by superimposing the MOSAIC LAW upon its constitution?
Certainly not! This would be the DEAD LAW ministering
DEATH to the SPIRITUALLY DEAD, propping up a corpse by a DEAD LEGALISTIC
LETTER and crying to the corpse `LIVE'!
How can the Biblical instruction influence a nation?
The New Testament declares the DISTINCTLY CHRISTIAN SCRIPTURES are an instruction in righteousness: " All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness". (II Tim. 3:16).
THE LAW OF RIGHT BEHAVIOUR THROUGH LOVE (or in the context of a nation, through justice) is summed in the New Testament Christian instructions of Romans 13:8,10.
The Biblical instruction which can be used by the Church of God is NEW TESTAMENT instruction. The constitution of any country must be based, not on the MOSAIC LAW, but on the CHRISTIAN STANDARDS of the New Testament.
The use of the MOSAIC LAW is a retrograde step. CAN GOD'S PEOPLE ``ADVISE'' THE NATION ABOUT THE ``LAW OF CHRIST''
"For when the Gentiles, which have not a law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these knowing not a law, are a law unto themselves".
THE GENTILE NATIONS do not have an externally written law. Australia is not a 'CHRISTIAN' nation, it is a GENTILE NATION. Christians are people who have, as individuals, accepted Christ Jesus as Saviour and Lord, trusting in His Blood shed for them. They have been regenerated, given NEW LIFE, by the indwelling Holy Spirit. The only NATION which has been given a written, external law, is ISRAEL (The Mosaic Law). " Every good action that men perform by nature, they do by their constitution, not from respect to the authority of God" (Robert Haldane, ` An Exposition of Romans ' ).
The very constitution of a man, his conscience, his apprehension of nature, his instincts and affections are implanted by the Creator God. Mankind is fallen in sin, BUT THE LAW OF GOD IS WRITTEN IN THEIR HEARTS.
``A DEGREE OF KNOWLEDGE of God's justice and a true consciousness of violations of justice, God's unwritten law, and the necessity of punishment for violation is retained in fallen societies of men, despite there being no real AUTHORITY RECOGNISED FROM THE LAWGIVER. IN ALL MEN, a degree of good or bad; ``performance or neglect'', ``approbation or disapprobation of the conscience''; ``the principle of law itself'' remains in ALL MEN''. (Haldane)
The Christian Church, by its witness, by its protest (if need be), by its counsel, must be ``the salt'' of its society. The New Testament higher law must always be brought to the attention of society's law enforcers. ``Gray'' areas in the minds of men (such as legalized homosexuality, abortion, legalized prostitution, state enforced New Age education etc.)must be made BLACK AND WHITE by the higher law of the Christian under the Lord Jesus Christ. Fallen man's conscience is seared he ignores so often the "law written in his heart".
THE UNIVERSAL LAW IN CHRIST SHOULD BE THE BASIS OF ANY CONSTITUTION.
" They did nothing, however, in the MANNER which the Law required, that is, from the only motive that makes any action good, namely, a spirit of obedience, and of God to God."(Haldane).
Jews had a written law, Gentiles do not have a written
law, but Gentiles in their natures assent to the Law's verdict, all fall
under the written law's judgement because it is TRUE AND JUST (Romans 12).
THE CROSS ACCEPTS THE VERDICT OF THE LAW.
"For I, through the Law, am dead to the Law, that I might live unto God" (Gal. 2:19).
" Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us; for it is written, cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree". (Gal.3:13).
WHY DIDN'T GOD GIVE HIS REVEALED WILL TO THE GENTILE NATIONS?
WHY ONLY TO THE ONE NATION ISRAEL?
THE NATIONS ARE UNDER, TODAY, A PRINCIPLE OF HUMAN GOVERNMENT IN ORDER TO STOP THE FLOW OF SIN AND ALL ITS HORROR THIS WAS INSTIGATED IN THE NOAHIC COVENANT, NOT THE MOSAIC COVENANT.
1. The rainbow in the sky (Gen.9:13) was a ``covenant'' from God that the threat of divine judgement through another deluge, a global flood, had been removed. MAN, himself, must take CORPORATE responsibility in government lest all human life be destroyed by sinful, criminal citizens.
2. Man is responsible to, firstly, protect human life. This is GOVERNMENT'S highest function. Society is given the right of capital punishment FOR MURDER. (Romans 13:17). However, the nations are not under the MOSAIC LAW which was a unique LAW. ISRAEL, was a specific witness, a chosen nation. The MOSAIC LAW, with capital punishment for (an example) a child's disobedience to parents is not binding WORLD WIDE!(Psalm 147:19,20; Deut. 32).
THE ORDER GOD GAVE FOR NATURE IS CONFIRMED (Gen.8:22; 9:2). Here, the New Age insistence that the creation comes FIRST, and humankind SECOND is shown to be anti Biblical in the government of world affairs. [The entire ``Earth Summit'', June 1992, Rio de Janeiro of the N.W.O., environmentalists was based on CREATION, the ``Mother'' Earth and all her creatures COMING FIRST, and man SECOND.]
4. Man is given, by God, the right to eat the flesh of creatures. [The New Age seeks to remove that right from the face of the earth. It wants only vegetarianism.]
Eventually, the nations' rule will be removed from the earth, it will finally be superseded by the rule of the King, The Lord Jesus Christ Himself.
``The nations have always failed to rule righteously "in the times of the Gentiles'' (Daniel 2:3145). Man has a responsibility only
until that time when the One whose right it is to govern takes His place (Isaiah 9:67; Jeremiah 23:56; Ezek21:27; Luke 1:30,33; Rev.11:15,18; 19:16; 20:46).
MEANWHILE, BACK TO NOAH'S DAY!
The Bible says that the times just before the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ will be ``as it was in the times of Noah'' (Matt.24:37). Many indications of this being the time referred to in Matthew 24 are with us today, i.e., gross wickedness; demon possession and witchcraft, revival of ancient evil Babylonian practices and beliefs etc. (Genesis 6). THE FLOOD left Noah and his family to begin a new human race on the earth. Human Government was instigated by God. But that Human Government ended in failure at the Tower of Babel, scattering humanity into different races. There now became many languages and many races.
WHY ARE THE LEADERS IN THIS NEW AGE NEW WORLD ORDER WANTING " THE SEVEN NOAHIDE LAWS" ? ARE THEY SEEKING TO RETURN TO THE DAYS AFTER THE FLOOD, BUT BEFORE THE TOWER OF BABEL WAS STOPPED BY THE LORD GOD? (Genesis 11).
This certainly seems to be the case. The New Age DOES see its role as finishing the Tower of Babel!. WORLD GOVERNMENT, instead of individual nations in government, is, after all, indeed such a ``revisiting ''" to Babel.
1. One important sign of the New Age is a perverted RAINBOW. Is it a gesture of throwing up in the face of God His IMPOTENCE? God has promised in His bow in the sky that He will not destroy again evil mankind by a FLOOD! Is the New Age ``sticking out the tongue'' at God?
2. The Babylonian ``Seven Noahide Laws'' come right from this Noahic period, man-made rules by rebellious pagans. In the ``Seven Noahide Laws'', all the authentic Noahic Covenant rulings have been ignored just as they were ignored by the world in the postdeluvian civilization. The authentic rulings given to Noah EVEN TO MULTIPLYING AND FILLING THE EARTH, have been torn down by the New Age EVERY ONE OF THESE HAS BEEN DENIED!. Yes, even the ``whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed'' has also been thrown out, by CONFLICT RESOLUTION, with its ``MEDIATION'' rather than ``ADJUDICATION'' ideas, and its ``WIN-WIN'' aims, which make the victim the perpetrator, and the criminal goes scot free. HOW DO WE SUM ALL THIS UP THEN? "...There is NOT an imperative within Christian theology to abolish pluralism and seek to establish a monolithic form of government in which the Mosaic laws and consequent penalties in toto are enforced. The requirement for the nations is to establish justice, and this may approximate aspects of the moral and/or civil law found in Israel, but there is NO MANDATE to codify the Mosaic law as the law of the Land". August 1st, 1992, extract from document entitled " 7 Noahide Laws", taken from MIDNIGHT MESSENGER, March April, 1992 issue [Article from DON BELL REPORTS].
THE SEVEN NOAHIDE LAWS.
First, facts without comment. On March 5th, 1991, the U.S. House of Representatives considered and passed, by voice vote, ``A Joint Resolution to Designate March 26, 1991 as Education Day, U.S.A.'' On March 7, 1991 the U.S. Senate considered and passed, by voice vote, this joint Resolution. On March 20th,1991, the President of the United States approved this Joint Resolution and it became Public Law 10214. Following is the complete text of that Joint Resolution. Public Law 10212 (H.J. Rels. 104), March 20, 1991.
EDUCATION DAY, U.S.A. PROCLAMATION.
``Whereas Congress recognizes the historical tradition of ethical values and principles which are the basis of civilized society and upon which our great Nation was founded;
Whereas these ethical values and principles have been the bedrock of society from the dawn of civilization, when they are known as the Seven Noahide Laws;
Whereas without these ethical values and principles the edifice of civilization stands in serious peril of returning to chaos;
Whereas society is profoundly concerned with the recent weakening of these principles that have resulted in crises that beleaguer and threaten the fabric of civilized society;
Whereas the justified preoccupation with these crises must not let the citizens of this Nation lose sight of the irresponsibility to transmit these historical ethical values from our distinguished past to the generations of the future;
Whereas the Lubavitch movement has fostered and promoted these ethical values and principles throughout the world;
Whereas Rabbi Schneerson, leader of the Lubavitch movement is universally respected and revered and his eighty ninth birthday falls on March 26, 1991;
Whereas in tribute to this great spiritual leader, ``the rebbe'', this, his ninetieth year, will be seen as one of ``education and giving'', the year in which we turn to education and charity to return the world to the moral and ethical values contained in the Seven Noahide Laws: and Whereas this will be reflected in an international scroll of honor signed by the President of the United States and other heads of state; Now, therefore be it
Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, that March 26,1991, the start of the ninetieth year of Rabbi Schneerson, leader of the worldwide Lubavitch movement, is designated as ``Education Day, U.S.A.''. The president is requested to issue a proclamation calling upon the people of the United States to observe such day with appropriate ceremonies and activities.''
The Seven Noahide Laws are mentioned twice in Public Law 102ª 14, but are not spelled out. They seem difficult to find in English translation. We were not able to find them. A Christian pastor and subscriber informs us that they appear in a book written by one Rabbi Marvin Antelman, but we haven't been able to find the book. However, we are told that they can be seen in the Institute of Judaic Christian Researcher, January, 1990, in the following form: (1) Thou shalt not engage in idol worship; (2) Thou shalt not blaspheme God;
(3) Thou shalt not shed innocent blood of a human or foetus nor ailing person who has a limited time to live; (4) Thou shalt not engage in bestial, incestuous, adulterous or homosexual relations nor commit the act of rape; (5) Thou shalt not steal; (6) Thou shalt establish laws and courts of law to administer these laws, including the death penalty for those who kill, administered only if there is one testifying witness; 7) Thou shalt not be cruel to animals.

" A Jewish Talmudic designation for seven biblical
laws given to Adam and to Noah before the revelation to Moses on Mt. Sinai
and consequently binding on all mankind.
Beginning with Genesis 2:16 the Babylonian Talmud
listed the first six commandments. After the flood a seventh commandment,
given to Noah, forbade the eating of flesh from a living animal (Genesis
9:4). Throughout the ages scholars have viewed the Noahide Laws as a link
between Judaism and Christianity, as universal norms of ethical conduct,
as a basic concept of international law, or as a guarantee of fundamental
human rights for all".
NOW FACTS WITH COMMENT:
In the Bible there is reference to the Noahic Covenant and the rainbow as its symbol and promise, but there is no mention of any Seven Noahide Laws. These come not from the Bible, but from the Babylonian Talmud. The laws are said to apply to ALL MANKIND, but those persons who honor and live by the Torah are exempt.(The Torah is defined by Webster as ``the whole body of Jewish religious literature including the Scriptures, the Talmud etc.'' ) Since these ``laws'' apply to :all mankind" , it is said in Noahidic literature that :
In Noah's time there was corruption and God cleansed the earth with water, saving only Noah, his family and selected animals. There then existed a new world order. There were no nations, no communities, no society, just a family. And the sons of Noah were to ``Be fruitful, and multiply and replenish the earth''. But in the new world order there existed sin, in the form of Noah's temptation (drunkenness) and Ham's dishonouring of his parents. The first son of Ham was Cush, ``And Cush begat Nimrod and the beginning of his kingdom was Babel... Therefore is the name called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth; and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of the earth.'' So it might be said that the Lord created a new world order of nations to prevent the leaders of that time from creating their own manmade new world order. This should serve as a warning to all those who, in our time, strive to `` make us a name'' and create a One World Government.
GORDON GINN AND SMYRNA.
Referring to The Seven Noahide Laws, Gordon Ginn, Phd., the editor of Smyrna, a Christian newsletter, comments:
``Whoever is behind the `Seven Noahide Laws' is not
wasting anytime nailing down their dastardly plans. On the day (March20th)
that President Bush signed the resolution into law, The Wall Street Journal
carried a front page story about the Noahides. And now that we are saddled
with this law the Noahides are exploring the feasibility of taking it world
wide through the United Nations. It seems to me that this fits right in
with Bush's New World Order'' (Smyrna, July-August Issue, 1991).
Public Law 10214 says the, ``Lubachev Movement has fostered and promoted these ethical values and principles throughout the world'' and that one Rabbi Menachem Schneerson is leader of the Lubachev Movement. His eighty ninth birthday fell on March 26,1991, and contrary to the popular but false interpretation regarding the ``separation of church and state'', a Rabbi and an occult Judaic movement is being honoured through the establishment of Education Day, U.S.A.
These ``7 Noahide Laws'' are NOT the guide lines for human government which are mentioned in this booklet! The ``7 Noahide Laws'' are laws from the Babylonian Talmud. THE `WHORE OF BABYLON' (Rev.17:118) is yet another manifestation as we advance into these Latter Days before the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
LAW IN A NEW WORLD ORDER THE ESOTERIC PERSPECTIVE.
The occult New Agers are keenly establishing their proposed New set of Laws for this Aquarian Age. The `OLD AGERS' laws are now obsolete, they cry. A recent seminar held in Sydney Australia, organized by ``World Goodwill'' (Lucis Trust) had as its theme ``Law in a New World Order''. At that seminar Daryl Gunter, an Australian Solicitor who has worked in criminal law, and has assisted the Australian Law Reform Commission in its reference on Aboriginal Laws in Australia, and Justin O'Bryan, a barrister at the Victorian Bar, spoke. Professor Stephen Conn from Alaska, expert in Aboriginal Customary Laws in other cultures, also spoke. What then was the ESOTERIC PERSPECTIVE that arose out of the interaction at this seminar?
E PLURIBUS UNUM.
``Out of the many, ONE'', is the meaning of the above latin phrase. This really sums up the insistence of the Luciferian people at the Lucis Trust seminar. A ONE WORLD LAW, which has made all other laws obsolete. This ONE WORLD LAW was seen as a ``soul of man'' law, an ``innate expression of wholeness, of unity'', `` making an impact on human consciousness''. The ``Laws of the Soul'' were seen as arising from MAN HIMSELF, man as DIVINE, actually growing into such "love and wisdom'' as he evolves into the NEW MAN (Homo Noeticus) that ``group consciousness'' establishes a true set of intuitive values (``intuitive'' = ``physic '') .
Let me quote now from the presenter at that seminar, Merle Stubbs of Sydney ``World Goodwill'':
This same trend is revealed in the battle for the right to self determination of nations which states the recognition of the UNIQUE IDENTITY of a people and the FREEDOM TO EXPRESS IT. But such freedom brings its own responsibility, the responsibility to express that uniqueness for the advancement and enrichment of the WORLD COMMUNITY OF NATIONS, and not to repeat past mistakes of a separative nature in a revised form''. (emphasis mine).
ALEISTER CROWLEY'S "NEW LAW" 
The man who was dubbed by many the most wicked man that ever lived, Aleister Crowley, Satanist, priest of many black arts, wrote this law, which appears in his shocking book ``The Equinox of the Gods'':
Crowley goes on:
"The book announces a NEW LAW for mankind. Laws would suit allowing abortion, mercy killing, alternative medicine, individual faith healers, psychic healing. This, of course, is only demonic, occult healing practised without restraint by law. THE LAWS OF THE CHRISTIAN LIFE

1. THE LAW WHICH WE ARE NOT UNDER - THE MOSAIC LAW:
We are told that Christ fulfilled the requirements of
the mosaic law when he died on the cross and was resurrected from the dead.
(Matthew 5:17). If the Holy Spirit has control over us we automatically
fulfill the law. If our own nature controls our life we will automatically
not fulfill the mosaic law. The question therefore is...Who controls your
life?
2. THE LAW OF LIBERTY:
This law is directed towards oneself. Biblically speaking
you have the right to do certain things that will not cause you personally
to fail the Lord in any way. (ICor.8:8)
3. THE LAW OF LOVE:
This law takes other believers into consideration. In
effect this law says that because of your love for the weaker brethren
and in order not to offend or upset them you refrain from doing certain
things which you have the liberty to do. You refrain not because they are
wrong in themselves but rather you wish to help other believers rather
than hinder them. (ICor.8:9)
4. THE LAW OF EXPEDIENCY :
This law concerns the unbeliever. It is expedient that
your life tells the world of Christ. The unbeliever has set up standards
of conduct for the Christian. Therefore you refrain from or do certain
legitimate things - not because they are wrong but because they may offend
an unbeliever and prevent him from seeing the real issue that CHRIST DIED
FOR HIS SINS. (ICor. 9,20-23)
5. THE LAW OF SUPREME SACRIFICE:
This law is directed towards God . It involves the believer
forsaking a completely legitimate function in life in order to more perfectly
serve the Lord. Missionaries often function under this law when they live
in primitive conditions on the mission field. This law can also operate

6. PRINCIPLE:
As Christians we have liberty but total freedom for ourselves
may enslave others. We have to use our liberty in such a responsible manner
that it does not infringe on the liberty of others. As Christians we must
act responsibly. (Eph.5:15)

and Eve lost their covering in the Garden of Eden (Genesis3:13). That covering
was the very RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD. Jesus Christ covers all those who trust

We have seen, set before us briefly, the basis of THREE FORMAL, WRITTEN LAW SYSTEMS.
1. He/she must be obedient to God's will. Being saved
by GRACE does not mean freedom from obedience to the revealed will of God.
2. Christian citizens are to remember that they are NOT, however, under the Law as given to Israel in the old Testament.
3. Christian citizens, as individuals are to obey the
WILL OF GOD - as revealed in its beauty in the New Testament - THE LAW
OF CHRIST.
1. A Gentile Nation, as a nation influenced by a strong born-again Christian citizenship, must respond corporately to the wisdom of God as shown in scripture.
2. The law of principles of conduct expressed by God in the Adamic, Noahic covenants - the New Testament principles and the example of Mosaic legislation.
3. However, the Gentile Nation - in our case Australian - is not under the expression of the Law as given to the nation of Israel in the Old Testament.
A PRAYER:
We pray that you not remove the means by which we can send forth the Gospel in these evil days. Grant to us your provision, keep the families of your people stable, keep the businesses and jobs of good Christian men and women intact, that we may all use our resources wisely to win many souls to Christ until Jesus comes.

Those who take the Mosaic Law as the basis for creating a "Christian" country, often tend towards an almost Islamic harshness. The few examples (amongst many of the same ilk) show little of the glorious compassion and mercy of that which is Christian.
Although the unacceptable leniency of our present judicial system is obvious to all who honor God's justice, the extremes of a society dominated by the death penalty for rape, abortion, robbery (and even for disobedience to parents, as shown in some Dominionist/Reconstructionist material) are equally unacceptable. Christians are not commissioned by the Lord to bring in a fearful, repressive religious dictatorship. [cf. Dave Hunt's "What Ever Happened to Heaven"] They are called to proclaim the glorious Good News of the Gospel...GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE CHRIST JESUS TO DIE FOR SINNERS.
Example `A'...GOD'S LAW ON MURDER
The above is for first degree murder.(this would include aborticide.) Different provisions are made in Bible Law for killing in self defense, to stop the commission of a crime, for accidental filling, and for killing in war. God requires execution of murderers, because "the blood it defileth the land; and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but (except) by the blood of him that shed it."
Note:
This "God's Law on Murder", taken from the Old Testament,
is a part of a leaflet which was used by Christians who insist on putting
the Mosaic Law back onto the constitution of our country Australia! Note
in particular, "This would include aborticide"
Ask yourself, "is the mercy and compassion of the Cross of the Lord Jesus Christ, NEW TESTAMENT, presented here? "Do you believe the Lord Jesus Christ wants the death sentence for that young woman, who, pressured by her peers, aborted her child? Or does the Lord Jesus Christ want her saved, forgiven and restored? ABORTION is MURDER, but also under MOSAIC LAW a RAPIST would be given the death penalty.
Example `B'...GOD'S LAW ON THEFT
Thieves who have been punished according to God's judgments (punishments) rarely steal again, as they have had demonstrated to them that "crime does not pay". At the same time, by this example, others learn not to steal. "When the scorner (or disobedient) is punished, the simple is made wise..." {proverbs 21:11. Parents and teachers know that punishing one child for disobedience teaches all the rest not to disobey. Adults react the same way, just as God's Word says.
Note:
Even THIEVES are seen as requiring the DEATH PENALTY! Those who want the Mosaic Law as the constitution of a country want heavy penalties indeed for crime. Yes, criminals get off very lightly today, TOO LIGHTLY, but would you consider that Christ Jesus would want a rebellious teenager, who has stolen cars, and refuses to "go straight", PUT TO DEATH? Christ our Lord wants repentance and offers mercy, through His sacrifice on the cross.
Example `C'...GOD'S LAW ON RAPE
When those who violate God's Laws are punished according to God's Judgements (punishments), the citizens enjoy justice, order, quietness, and peace. god says: "When My judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn rihgteousness." (Is. 26.9)

is a philosophy which is no different to the Nazi's. Should a "mentally
defective" man be put to death? RAPE is NOT due to mental defection, it
is due to sin. But, the Lord Jesus Christ brings the hope and possibility
of salvation through His shed blood.
