Getting to know God together.

Well, the worst enemy of us all has been defeated by Jesus!!!
DEATH is the worst enemy. And death could not hold the Son of God.
Satan did HIS worst, and Jesus Christ defeated him too.
He did it all for us, so we could defeat death and Satan as well.
Because Jesus won, we will win over every enemy in our lives because we trust in Him. There is a lovely song about this called “Because He lives” - do you know it?

“Because He lives I can face tomorrow,
 Because he lives all fear is gone.
Because I know, know, know He holds the future,
 And life is worth the Living just because He lives.”

Because Jesus lives:
You will rise from the dead too, yes even your body;
You can serve a risen Saviour and Lord, not One that is dead in the tomb!
You now know that the One you serve has NOT ONE enemy
that is more powerful than He is;
You can face anything in the future knowing the risen Saviour is with you in every-thing.

When a fruit tree bears fruit there are always the “first-fruits.” The early fruit that appears  on the tree shows that there is more to come. Then, after a while, a whole tree of fruit comes. The Bible calls Jesus the “first-fruit” of those who rise from the dead. Who are the later fruit then? Why every person who believes in Jesus and trusts Him alone to save them. They are the “fruit” which follow the first fruit who is Jesus. Let’s have a look at the Bible:

“If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.”
[ We can have hope in Jesus’ power to save - even death cannot beat Him!]
“But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.”
[ He rose from the dead so that WE can too! ]
“For since by man came death, by man came also the re-surr-ec-tion of the dead.  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. “
(1 Corinthians 15:19 - 22).

It was the greatest victory that has ever been won! Satan thought He had won a master stroke, He had gotten evil men to kill Jesus the Son of God. But it was not Satan’s master stroke, it was GOD’S. Some-one once said that God out-shot Satan in his own bow. They meant that the Cross of Calvary was like Satan aiming his bow and arrow at a target. He let go and the arrow sped towards its mark - the bull’s eye. But when the arrow hit the bull’s eye - it was GOD’S mark that Satan had hit. What a victory the Cross was indeed. By the Cross God saves all those who believe and turn to Jesus. Satan sure made a “boo-boo” when he had evil men kill Jesus Christ!

One day those who believe in Jesus as Saviour will have glorious new bodies when they rise from the dead. They will never again have bodies that get sick or die. Those bodies will be as glorious as the risen Son of God’s glorious re-surr-ec-tion Body is:
“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised in-corr-up-tible [ their bodies can never die ], and we shall be changed. “ (1 Corinthians 15:52).

I am so glad that Jesus defeated death for us all!
See you again, lambs. Bye!
