WITH THE HEAVENLY FATHER -
......DEVOTIONS FOR LAMBS. No.215
AM SAYING GOOD-BYE
FOR THIS YEAR!
Gidday, Lamb’s of God!
This will be your last devotion for 2000.
I will begin again later in 2001.
It has been a lot of fun writing these devotions for you, you are the BEST of all people to write any-thing for. I hope you have enjoyed them, and that you learnt some important things about the Lord and the Bible. I want to leave you with serious things to think about. You younger people are going to have to be strong in God in AD 2000. There will be lots that you can do for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Be sure that you
have Jesus as your own Saviour.
He died on the Cross to save you:
BE SORRY for doing wrong:
tell God you are sorry and that you want Him to make you good.
He took your punishment, so you would not have to be punished by God.
ASK Jesus Christ:
to come into your life [ if you haven’t already ] and live in you forever.
TAKE the Lord’s wonderful gift of Life that lasts forever - Eternal Life with Him.
“For God so loved the world [ that means YOU too ], that he gave his only be-gotten Son [ Jesus Christ ], that who-so-ever [ that means YOU too ] believ-eth [ believes ] in him should not perish [ not go to hell ] , but have ever-lasting life [ will go to heaven and live with God forever ].” (John 3:16).
Be sure you TRUST THE LORD to help you
in every way. Trust God to care for you. If there are hard times, God will
get you through them. He loves you, and He is the most powerful, most loving
Being in the whole universe. He does not want you to muddle along looking
after yourself. He wants to care for you, love you, keep you safe and protect
Here is just one of God’s promise verses to YOU:
“ Have not I command-ed thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dis-mayed [ scared and upset ]: for the LORD thy God is with thee whither-so-ever [ where ever ] thou goest [ you go ].” (Joshua 1:9).
The Lord wants you to never do things
that may get you into trouble, and or make you unhappy. He is not wanting
to stop you having a good time, He wants to give you the very best happiness
and fun - it is called the Joy of the Lord.
“...for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” (Neh. 8:19b).
Here is a verse
just for you for the New Year.
It will be of course the new millennium, the first year of a new thousand years. It could bring bad times, and good times. But GOD will make the joy of the Lord to be your own strength - you will be strong in Him when you stay close to God - He is the Creator of all:
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth [ this world can’t give us peace ], give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled [ upset ], neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27).
We will meet again early in January.
Until then my prayers are with you and your families.
GOD LOVES YOU AND I LOVE YOU TOO!
