Once
there was a plane crash way, way out!
Two
men came down with the plane and were lost in the tropical forest!
A
man who lived in the mountains hiked way out to look for them.
No
one else believed that they were still alive out there.
The
search had been called off.
But
this man Bernie didn’t give up.
And
you know, he found the pilot and his passenger.
One
man had a broken leg, but they were both still alive.
No
one else knew that forest like Bernie did.
So
he had to go back and get rescuers.
He
had to be there to guide them to the wrecked plane,
and
out again through the forest growth.
Everyone
would have gotten lost without him.
He
was the only guide who could help.
Those
poor crashed men would have starved without Bernie.
They
could never know which way to go.
Even
if they weren’t injured.
But
Bernie just knew every gully, all the trees, all the hills and the little
paths in the bush.
The
rescuers had to carry one man out on a stretcher!
Christians
need a guide too.
We
can never get through life without our guide showing us the way.
We
need to trust Jesus as our guide. He is the only One who knows the right
way.
He
will show us the danger places, and keep us from harm and getting lost.
We
might get mixed up and wonder what we should do and where we should be.
Jesus
will always help us.
God
has a light for our paths as well.
That
light is the Word of God
We
can get into a mess like that pretty quickly too.
Don’t
make decisions without God.
Trust
and obey Him, and you will find the way before you opened up by the Lord.
A
PRAYER
“Dear
Heavenly Father. I have many things to do today. I want to be on the right
path all the time. I need You to guide me and help me make the right decisions.
I
know You will care for me today. I will trust You to give me light on my
path. Amen.”
Read all of Psalm 46 it will be comfort and help to you.
