“ I dreamed I was invited to visit the Queen of England and Prince Philip.
I came up to the huge front door of Buckingham Palace,
and the guards said I wasn’t dressed right,
and I couldn’t come in.
A beautiful lady came out and took me away to a room,
and she had lovely robes there.
She helped me put a robe on, and took me back to the guards.
They let me go in straight away.
The lady said, ‘You can’t see the ruling Queen and her consort
unless you are dressed in those special robes.’
I can’t remember the rest, but I did see the Queen alright!”

Mum smiled away mysteriously.
“I’m going to meet the greatest ruler of all some day, “ she said.
“The most important King of all time, the King of kings and Lord of lords.”
“Will I see him too? “asked Jim.
“Yes, you will because you have trusted Him to save you, “Mum answered.
“You have to have the right robe to meet with the Lord Jesus Christ,
our soon coming King, as well. “
“I didn’t know that, “Jim said.
“Does the Bible tell us that, about robes I mean?”
“Indeed it does, “Mum said.
“The Bible says that all those people who have had their sins forgiven
and taken away by Jesus Christ will be dressed in spotless white robes.
God will give them those wonderful robes to wear,
when they are in special relation-ship with Jesus in Heaven.
They are the robes of righteousness.”
 

“ And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen,
clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.”
(Revelation 19:8).

A PRAYER FOR YOU:
“Thank You Father God for the wonderful plans you have for me. I know You have a plan for my life on this earth, and also a glorious life for me in Heaven one day. Thank You for sending Jesus to save me, and give me those robes of righteousness so that I can be in Heaven with You one day. Amen.”

The Biblical references to “robes”, “crowns”, “angels” and other spiritual sounding things are NOT symbolic. They are not “make-believe” images that are symbols to help us understand supernatural matters. Heaven, hell, the Throne of God, and “robes” for that matter, are realities! We humans can think we have gotten it all together, and in our pride imagine that we understand the whole of the cosmos and “ultimate” reality. But we understand very little actually. The Bible is the Word of God, we know this because through its pages we have found life and light, truth and  eternal life, and our spiritual eyes have been opened through the glorious words. Then we can trust the Bible to lead us into the Truth about God’s Heaven, and what it will be like there, as well. Have you trusted Christ as your Saviour? if not you will have no white robe, and you will not be in the Presence of the King of kings in glory.

“And I said unto him, What are these, which are arrayed in white robes?...
These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb (Jesus Christ).

Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.”
