Getting to know God together.

DOES GOD REALLY CARE ABOUT YOU?
Some kids think in their hearts that they are too small to matter to God.
They might not say so, but that’s what they think - really.
They think because there are billions of people on the earth, that one young kid doesn’t count! But this is not so, I know because God cares about me like He does about you. I have read what the Bible tells me about the wonderful love of God towards me, and you. We are just going to talk about YOU now, just YOU and God.

Do you know that the Bible was given to us by the Lord because He wanted us to know all about Him? The Bible shows you many things about the Lord. Do you wonder if God ever thinks about you? Well, this is what He tells us about that:
“How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum (number) of them!
If I could count them, they are more in number than the sand...” (Psalm 139:17,18).
God thinks about YOU so much that His thoughts about you are as many as the grains of sand on the sea shore! You must be very precious to Him indeed.

God knows everything, He is our Creator (Maker) so He has perfect knowledge. That is why He can know all about you especially. You were loved by God Who made you even before you were born! Do you know that you grew once in your mother’s special place inside her? Her “womb?” This is what God tells you about that:

“...Thou (God) hast covered (cared and protected)
me in my mother’s womb.”
(Psalm 139:13).

The Bible tells us that God knows everything you think about, and all your worries and upsets! This is wonderful, for the One Who knows you best loves you the most.

“..thou (God) understandeth (understand) my thoughts...
for there is not a word in my tongue,
but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest (know) it altogether
(know all about it).”
(Psalm 139:& 4).
So God knows all your thoughts, and knows all your words - even before you say them! God cares about you all right! If you had been the only person on earth God would have sent Jesus to save YOU!
“...GOD IS LOVE...” ( I John 4:8).

EXTRAS FOR TEENS AND BETWEENS

We can feel pretty unimportant and little in the world we live in! So many others around us, and what about the rest of the countries with all the other people. But you do matter to the Lord God, beyond anything you can imagine. Just because God knows all your rebellious thoughts and all your sinful words, as well as your good thoughts and words, doesn’t mean He doesn’t love you! He wants you to be safe, happy and at peace. “Herein is love, not that we loved God,
but that He loved us (YOU), and sent His Son,
to be the propitiation for our sins.” ( I John 4:10).

Wow! that word “propitiation” is a heavy word! It means that Jesus came to make the way for us, so that God could forgive us for all wrong doing. God can show His mercy and love toward you - even when you have done wrong. He can do this because of Jesus giving His life for YOU. Praise God!
You are never alone, for God even sees your sitting down and standing up! He is aware of all your ways! Have a look at Psalm 139:1-3).

“For God so loved the world,
(this means YOU included)
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that who-so-ever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16).
