Getting
to know God together.
The
future !
Tomorrow
even !
No
one can know about the future, or can they?
Some
people try to imagine they can read the future in the stars.
But
God does not like magicians and star wizards (astrologers).
He
forbids reading the stars for messages about the future.
People
can be frightened of the future.
Are
you?
What
can you do?
Some
people tell us that awful things are ahead.
No
food, no electricity, wars might come
"I am so small, Lord God, I want to feel safe."
Do you feel afraid sometimes?
The
future can seem strange to a child.
Like
growing up. What kind of world will it be?
Is
it true this stuff about the earth being spoiled, polluted.
"Will there be animals, trees, birds and fresh air when I grow up, Lord God?"
We
might not be able to know the future,
but
there is One Who holds the future in His mighty hands.
God
made the heavens and our earth,
and
He has told us about our earth's future, in the Bible.
We
will have troubles here,
but
God will make all things wonderful ASAP!
When
we put our futures in God's hands,
we
can know that He is the One Who will take us through - anything.
I
am sure of God's care for me, forever.
You
can be too. When it is dark, He is there.
When
I don't know what to do, and where to turn,
the
Heavenly Father is there.
Knowing
all about the future won't help anyone.
It
is the God we know Who has the future in His hands Who matters.
The
Bible shows that God cares for us like a mother bird cares for her chicks.
Think
about that.....
How does a mother bird care for her chicks?
"He shall cover thee with His feathers,"Thanks Lord Jesus for being my friend.
I know You will care for me in the future too.
You will never leave me.
I know where to turn every day of my life.
I will be safe forever, in my God."
EXTRAS FOR TEENS AND BETWEENS
We can feel overwhelmed
by thoughts
of the future disasters
that "might" come our way.
But God says,
"Take
therefore no thought for the morrow:
for
the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.
Sufficient
unto the day [is] the evil thereof."
A wonderful passage of
Scripture tells us if we put God and His plans first,
our entire lives will
be prepared for and looked after by Him.
Read Matthew 6:25-34 carefully.
Read it often if you worry
about the things to come.
God has planned a perfect
world in the future,
under the Kingship of
Jesus Christ Himself.
And that Kingdom may
not be too far away either.
"...and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."
(Rev.20:4).
