Getting
to know God together.
I've got a fish pond in my backyard.
I was feeding them the other day and thought how much I would like
to talk to those fish,
send them a message. I love those fish.
They come to me when I move the water around with a stick,
and then I sprinkle fish food flakes on the water for them to eat.
But I don't talk "fish", and they don't seem to know I am there.
Their world is in the water weeds and water lilies, swimming around
being fish.
I put seven fish in that pond, now there are dozens.
They had babies. All sorts of colours, red, gold, black and colours
all mixed up.
I tried to give some to a kid's school, but they don't want them,
and no one else doeseither.
Those fish seem to look right at me sometimes,
but I know they just live in their little pond, and can't ever understand
the bigger world I live in.
They probably think there is no other world but their pond.
We are like those fish in a way.
We live on a tiny world and all around us is the universe, look
up at the sky, it goes on perhaps
forever! God is a bit like myself when I look at my fish.
Some people on our earth know that God is there, and we talk often
to Him.
And He has given us His message in the Bible.
He tells us about how He sent His Son to our earth, the Lord Jesus
Christ.
He tells us in the Bible about the bigger world out there in the
sky.
And God tells us about how much He loves us in His message book,
the Bible. "Beloved, let us
love one another, for love is of God..." I John 4:7. & John
3:16

Do you live as though you are just a fish in a pond?
This world is not the only reality, God made you for Himself, and
He loves you.
The way we contact God is by praying and reading His Word, the Bible.
But first you must be "born-again" by trusting in Christ Jesus as
Saviour.Read all about it in
John chapter three:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
(John 3:16)

Why am I often lonely, Lord?
Maybe people can't see that I am,
I've got a lot of friends, but I need something or Someone else.
Is it You I need, God?
Yes, You will fill up the emptiness inside.
Even being successful at my studies, or being popular will never
fill up Only You can do that.
I need YOU!
