Getting to know God together.
Col. Jim Irwin, the NASA astronaut said this
“Walking on the moon made me more aware of the beauty of the earth
and its God-given, created ability to support God’s protection of His people
in this world and His judgment of sin, not only for the people of Noah’s day,
but the people of our day as well.”

Jim Irwin has been in the search for Noah’s ark since 1982.
He and others have been looking for the ark on our earth today!
You must have heard of Noah’s ark.
But maybe you have heard of it like a kiddies’ fairy story.
Perhaps you have seen pictures of a little boat
with animal heads sticking out of it’s windows.
This is NOT what the Bible teaches about the ark.
It was a huge vessel bigger than the Titanic!
The thrilling record in the Bible about Noah’s ark
will be dealt with in coming devotions, after our holiday of two weeks.
I will show you the exciting truth about the ark,
as shown in God’s Word.

Here are some questions I will answer for you
 

How big was the ark?
Were there dinosaurs on the ark?
How did Noah and his sons build such a big boat?
Have people really seen Noah’s ark on our earth today?
Why was it built?
What was the big flood that happened thousands of years ago?
How did Noah get all the animals to go into the ark?

Where did the water go after the big flood went down?
Why did the flood happen?

“Dear Heavenly Father. Thank You that there will never be a world-wide flood again. You have promised there will never be. Help me understand about the wonderful truths and history in the Bible. I want to understand my world and its Creator. Amen.”

The things that the Bible reveals are so exciting !
God wants us to study His Word so that we can understand about our world and ourselves as humans. The study of Noah’s ark is one which will change your whole outlook towards our world. It will help you to see that the Creator is in charge of this planet, and His plans will come to pass - no matter what sinful, violent men do.
The flood in Noah’s day was because of the awful sinfulness of men. But those who trusted in God were saved. I am looking forward to sharing the study of Noah’s ark with you, over a number of days. “And it repented the Lord that he had made man on earth,
and it grieved him at his heart.
And the Lord said,
I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth;
both man, and beast, and the creeping thing,
and the owls of the air,
for it repenteth me that I have made them.
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.”
(Genesis 66-8).
