The waters of the great flood covered even the highest mountains on earth.
How do we know?
The mountains on earth today are higher
than they were when God first created them.
There are many layers of mud, stacked on top of each other,
which has turned to rock over the centuries.
This rock was stacked that way in the flood of Noah’s day.
Something fantastic is in those rock layers!
There are billions of fossils of creatures that were killed during the flood in the rock! There are plants, animals fish and insects in the rock layers.
They were buried in those layers after the great flood.
Here is what John D. Morris writes
“When these layers (also called ‘strata’) were still soft mud,
they could be bent like clay and pushed upward into huge mountains by earth movements during Noah’s Flood.
Many of the tall mountains we see now are volcanoes
which erupted and grew tall after the flood was over,
so we can see even though today’s mountains were made by the Flood,
they were not as high during the Flood as they are now.”
(”Noah’s Ark and the Lost World.” page 22).

All right, you might say, where did all that water go to?
The Lord God caused the awfully deep ocean floors to form. Scientists tell us that God may have done this by separating the earth into continents. When the waters rushed away, own earth of today was formed. It had a new shape. The massive canyons that we have today were carved out of the soft muddy earth by water that rushed off the land into huge ocean basins. Did you know that if there were no high mountains and if there were no really deep oceans, then the water on our earth would still cover it for nearly two miles!

Ever since the time just after the great flood people have written about the Ark.
Or they have told stories about the Ark.
Many people today claim that they have seen the Ark
when they were climbing Mt Ararat.
Some others say they know people who saw the Ark.
And some say they have seen it when they passed over that mountain in airplanes. The Bible says “the Ark rested on the mountains of Ararat” (Genesis 8:4).
Do we know where people have seen the Ark?
Yes, it is in an ancient region called “Uratu”  in Mt Ararat.
Hundreds of people have seen the Ark,
most of them say it is in Ahora Gorge, up near the snow line.

What about the world after the great flood?
Noah and his family would have lived in the Ark until the earth recovered!
There is evidence in recent times of the house & graves of Noah and his family.
Found near Mt. Ararat on the plains.
The pictures on the headstones show they were taller than we are today.
Only God’s Word has the true story of Noah’s flood.
But do you know that people from many different parts of the world
tell stories about that great flood.
They have changed the true record,
but they still show that many tribes remember the flood that covered the earth.
When Noah and his family finally left the Ark,
after the waters had gone down, they offered a sacrifice to the Lord.

This is the promise God gave them, and all of us, after that  terrible flood.
