Getting to know God together.

Marie’s Dad was so kind. Both parents were, but she was a real Dad’s girl. He always wanted what was best for her, and she knew how much he loved her. Marie wanted to go on a holiday to the snow fields with Bethany and her teenage brother and sisters. But Dad wouldn’t let her go! “No, Marie, those teenagers are a bit wild. I don’t trust their driving skills or their morals.” So Dad said “NO!” to her request. He did it because he loved her so much, not because he didn’t love her.

Our Father God knows everything, we don’t, so He can say “NO!” to our prayers too. This is because His judgment is best. But if God has promised something in a special way, we should make our prayers fit those promises. Then your prayers will be answered. How does it all work then?

God’s promises are only for saved believers.
1) We should get to know God’s promises well.
2) We should claim God’s promises as our own.
3) We must be sure we are not doing wrong against God in our lives.
4) We must trust God and believe in His Word and promise.
5) We must let God provide for us. Not try to handle our own lives.

Here are some more promises for you:
You cannot sleep at night:
“I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest [make] me dwell in safety [God makes you live safely].” (Psalm 4:8).

You are afraid, and your mind is muddled up and worried:
“For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (II Timothy 1:7).

You are worried about the future. What will happen tomorrow?:
“Take therefore no thought for the morrow [don’t fuss about the future]: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof [ live one day at time, God will look after you].” (Matthew 6:34).

You don’t know if you really believe God hears your prayer:
“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.” (I John 5:14).

Then you wonder will He really answer your own prayers?
“And if we know that he hear us, what-so-ever we ask, we know that we have the petitions [the things we ask God to do or give] that we desired of him.” (I John 5:15).

HEY! God wants to answer your prayers and make your life happy.
Satan wants people to think it is boring and stupid to pray and trust God. Don’t believe him.  Learning how good God is when you are young can make your whole life a success. TRUST GOD, He wants to be your Friend and Protector every day.

“And what-so-ever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.” (I John 3:22).
