I have the unpleasant task of writing up the details of a recent
“With Women” conference which June Swan and myself attended. Held at
Mt Alverna College, Kedron, 14th-15th October, 1994. The meetings had us
reeling with shock, so NEW AGE and so like the INTERNATIONAL FEMINIST
WITCHES platform was the teaching. We both found it hard to comprehend
what was taking place before our eyes. This is shamelessly presented
PAGANISM and IMMORALITY, coming from those who call themselves “Christian”.
The reader should understand that there is nothing whatsoever about real
Christianity being presented at these gatherings. We had gone expecting
to encounter things we would definitely NOT agree with, but the reality
of what we saw and heard was unspeakably worse than we had ever imagined.
I could not sleep the night after the conference, I was deeply disturbed,
and the next day I could not stop the tears flowing from sheer shock. The
full title of "With Women" is Churches in Solidarity With Women. The churches
are supporting these feminists!
These women call themselves “Christian Church” women! Be warned that they are extremely militant, politically and economically powerful, they are protected in every way by the New Age United Nations, they are considered “politically correct”. They represent the GODDESS RISING trend which has become the “norm” on this planet - and they aim to reach and control (they would call it “support”) women leaders in every denomination or church, Presbyterian, Catholic, Uniting, Anglican, Pentecostal, Baptist, Murrie or Moslem.
Present at that strange parody of a Christian women’s conference was HELEN MILLS, the GENERAL SECRETARY of QUEENSLAND CHURCHES TOGETHER. She was introduced with the speakers, and was, I presume, pleased and comfortable with the tone of the conference. I repeat for emphasis, are you understanding? HELEN MILLS was there, the General Secretary of QUEENSLAND CHURCHES TOGETHER, the National Council of Churches (formerly W.C.C.). Also present was JANET WOODS, well known feminist and co-editor of “A PLACE AT THE TABLE”, which is a book that insists that women should be painted into the scene around the table in religious pictures which feature the Last Supper. Woods has been seen on the A.B.C. Channel Two programme, “Compass”, shown on Sunday nights. She and Dorothy McMahon of the Uniting Church have moved in feminist theology circles for many years in this country. Woods is the chair of the UCA’s Commission for Mission; lecturer in feminist theology at St. Mark’s Theological Centre, Canberra and United Theological College, Sydney.
The previous night session at the conference featured VERONICA BRADY, a Loreta Sister and Associate Professor of English at the University of Western Australia. She wrote the book, “Caught in the Draught”.
Anglican, Catholic, Lutheran and Uniting Church women predominate at “With Women”.
The Saturday section of the conference, which we attended, began with the audience being instructed in deep breathing, which graduated into pagan chanting. The women breathed out with sounds like “t’, or “s”, gradually the sounds became “Mmmmmm”, until the large centre was reverberating with this sound, which was only one step away from the “Ommmmm” of the New Age occultists. They joined hands as they danced until a ring was formed around those of us who did not join in, singing “earthy” songs to the beat of native drums. Later in the day, a “ritual” was created. The women shuffled around in a large circle singing to the earth, the sky and nature led by pagan drums, and New Age style dancers. It was basically identical to the rituals shown on a video in our possession which were presented by STARHAWK the New Age WITCH and others of her ilk. These New Age witches are the backbone of the Feminist Movement which is flowing through the Churches.
During the entire day there was no praying, no hymn or Christian chorus
singing, no Bible reading,
no reference to the Lord Jesus Christ! (In fact they have books
on sale that disprove the basic tenets of the Bible)
A woman named LINDA WALTERS, was introduced as a lecturer, a nurse, (she is highly placed in her profession) and a co-author of a primer of feminist theology in Australia, “Women of Spirit”. Walters is also a counsellor at the Peter McCallum Inst., and an activist and founding member with the Movement of Ordination for Women (M.O.W.). She spoke in Canterbury, England when M.O.W. was challenging the Anglican Church re, priesthood for women. At Canterbury she spoke on menstrational bleeding! She was one of the mImages speakers of the morning session at the Catholic college in Kedron.
Walters began her lecture by setting up what she called “her space" on a table. This consisted of a colourful cloth from a native tribe, red earth in a jar, a candle, a small winged creature made of wire and a bird of paradise fashioned in pottery. This “space” was almost a classic witches’ altar used by the pagans to attract spirits. (See article this issue re `Sacred Space) The word “ritual” is used often by these women, witches also use the word. “Rituals” are created by “With Women”, complete with drum, dance, flowing robes, clicking of fingers, native skin drums and sacred “space”. They often sing unaccompanied by music, in a minor key, rather like Jewish or Greek music.[but in a tribal manner]
Walters presented feminist teachings which can hardly be expressed here. The female sexual organ was sacramentalized in a way similar to the ancient Phallic symbol worship of the male organ. She seemed almost to be in a worshipful mode towards the female body. Shocking things were said, I will not repeat them. I must, however, reveal a few of these distressing things, in order to alert the people of God to the fearful dangers that women in Churches face from these “With Women” academics. Strong-willed, highly intelligent, extremely articulate women with the whole power of the World Council of Churches behind them, and no doubt, with power from Canberra as well. This is not easy to write, these things are so offensive, yet we must understand and not co-operate in any way with these people.
An example of the sexually opening vulva as a sacred symbol is seen in the Rose symbol in Religion, I might add here. The Hindu lotus symbol also has this connotation.
Walters spoke about these following matters (we have her on tape, there is no red-faced apology in these women. You too can hear her on tape by contacting “With Women”, PO. Box 5546, West End, 4101. Ask for “Embodying Justice: Learning to hear the good news in our own bodies” ).
Walters taught on: The “open almond door” of the vulva. The woman’s “doorway of strength and power, and our terror”. The “treasure store” in ourselves, this organ that brings forth life, which should be “honored”. A womb with a fallopian tube, she said, was the subject of a padded quilt created by women, sequins had been sewn as sperm!
Walters told of woman who had had a hysterectomy, and brought her womb home so that she could say “goodbye” to it.
The ecology, the aboriginals were to the fore! Walters said that the Murrie people had the Good Gospel, and we need to be “initiated” into it. She has had “to reclaim” Christianity she said. “Liturgy”, often mentioned by “With Women”, seems to be about “initiation”. Whites, it seems, know nothing about “spirituality” or “mother God”, but blacks are wise and compassionate. We should be “initiated” as blacks are. Walters told a strange tale about a black scrubbing woman, who wanted a white woman in a hospital bed to experience natural childbirth on the floor of the ward! We were left with the inference that the white doctors knew nothing, but the black “spiritual” person had wisdom from nature.
Walters told of another feminist who had been present when a friend was giving birth. In the company of the woman’s husband, this goddess worshipper had stripped, climbed on the delivery table, climbed on the woman in labor, and “they had delivered the baby together”. They learned to do this in MEDITATION. The conference women were hushed with reverence and awe when Walters told this sick tale, they applauded with thrilled faces at the end!
Walters described a “prayer and meditation group” she had started with a Anglican minister’s wife. The group of about six women study Jungian psychology, indulge in meditation techniques, and “dare to do our own thing”. These women, we were told piously, strip off and anoint each other with oil, ALL OVER, they do this many times during their intimate “prayer” meetings. Of course, being supporters of lesbian and homosexual rights groups, “With Women” would see no wrong here. When I challenged Walters after her talk about this and other amazing statements, she expressed injured shock that I could possibly consider something wrong with this anointing. She acted like a Christian martyr to the cause! “With Women” , it appears to me, hold pro-abortion beliefs, although are openly rather non-commital on this hot potato.
“Embodying Justice in our own bodies” was a rather obscure concept. Finding the “good news” in our own organs and when we love one another we are ‘Godding’ made little sense to this Biblical Christian, I’m afraid.
At one point in Walters’ talk, my friend and I found ourselves crying out in protest. She told of a needy woman who had come for counselling, a woman who was dying from cancer. The woman wanted to find God. Walters advised her “TO GIVE THE PATRIARCHAL GOD THE FLIP”, to go home and visualize her dead mother, to ask her dead mother for advice, and then to imagine her mother as GOD - the Mother God or Goddess of the feminists. This is NECROMANCY forbidden by the Lord God, and blasphemy of the highest order. The women assembled cheered loudly as Walters denounced the Heavenly Father. This “With Women”, World Council of Churches, is SICK MADNESS. Walters praised ALL OUR CHOICES. If we choose to be wives, mothers, career women (or lesbians?) we should praise for all “doorways”. She spoke of the mystical “voices coming through” in meditation!
These feminists are “networking” across all denominations. The Gospel
to them, the most important issue to them is
WOMEN’S
RIGHTS.
An ugly loathing of males dwells amongst them, lightly covered with rhetoric. They speak of women suffering “2,000 years of abuse” in the Christian Church. They want to change the Bible, change hymn books and preach, but these are hardly the major dangers of these women. The major dangers are that they are heavily involved in New Age witchcraft practices, even if they do not realize to what extent. They have spirit guides received from meditation and New Age relaxation music and they are growing unbelievably unable to evaluate morality or even ordinary decency. In a workshop I attended, New Age meditation took place. The women, and a few men, took part in “The Inner Child” meditation and guided visualization of SHAKTI GAWAIN, a New Ager well known here. Again the OPENING OF THE THIRD EYE was featured, as it is in many places today. This is believed by some investigators to be THE LUCIFERIAN INITIATION of the New World Order. The people received SPIRIT GUIDES at this workshop. New Age meditation tapes were used during these sessions which have demons laid upon them by the New Agers and often contain subliminals. In other workshops sacred pagan dance, activation of Aboriginal Sacred Sites, Rite-making (creating pagan rituals), relaxation and massage and artistic “creativity” were taught.
Here is part of a “Prayer to Live Life More Fully” from the meditation workshop: “Our inner eye gets misty, clouded over, dulled. We need to see in a new way, to dust off our heart. To perceive what is truly of value. To find the deeper meaning in our lives.” (The “inner eye” is the Third Eye). The meditation brought “energy” from the earth through the soles of the feet, right through the body and out of the MIDDLE EYE, between the eyes above the nose. This is Hindu, New Age practice of an extremely dangerous occult nature. It is activation of the KUNDALINI FORCE, or the Snake Force.
THE INNER CHILD, so called, was embraced during guided meditation led by Margaret Wilmink. The victims of the meditation were instructed to meet the “inner child” inside themselves, put their arms around it, and either leave it in the inner temple of the soul, or pick it up and bring it with them to their outer lives. They asked questions of this “inner child”, and gave over control of their lives to it. This is SPIRIT GUIDE possession, bondage of a terrible sort to evil entities! These academics know not what they do!
“With Women” networks with: The Neighbourhood Centres (New Age); Women’s
INFO. LINK, which is run by the Government; Amnesty International Women’s
Network; The Joint Churches’ Domestic Violence Prevention Project and other
organizations involved in women’s affairs. They claim to be “Challenging
Australian Culture”.
DO NOT be fooled by the appearance of these feminists. They look like the average church woman, very well presented and mature and sensible looking. They use phrases like “the Lord”, “God be with you” and “Gospel of Good News”, but they are in SPIRITUAL DARKNESS OF A DIABOLICAL SORT! Pray for the women of the churches, they are in fearful peril from the activities of these forceful women. We have a video copy of a service by these feminists which is shameful to mention. But, the people of God must understand how far things have gone in these Last Days before Christ returns. In the video the women conduct a service to the Goddess, with a large painting behind the pulpit. The painting is of a figure that appears on first glance to be a priest dressed in his robes. However, the eye grasps at last that the “priest” is really a male sex organ dressed in a robe. In its upheld hands it holds a female womb dripping with blood. What at first appears to be wine in glasses on the altar in front of the “priest” is seen to be two breasts! THIS THEN IS “WITH WOMEN”.
ON A NOTE OF PRAISE! We praise God that there were a few opportunities to share Christ Jesus with these women. I remember one dear lady who I was able to pray for. She kept repeating “I can’t believe this is happening to me, how wonderful,” as we bowed before the Lord together. This happened in the meditation workshop, of all places!
Two of the leaders were challenged, and the Gospel was given to them. At one stage, as women filled in paper serviettes with their thoughts written on them in order to “bluetack” them to the walls, we had another opportunity to witness to Christ. We filled in three of these serviettes each with Bible verses plus exhortations to turn to Christ Jesus. It was to us like a mission field amongst savages!
On the bookstalls at the conference, books and videos abounded on THE
GODDESS RISING, CHAKRAS and AURAS, BIBLE DESTROYING MATERIAL (such as Spong
and Campbell), ABORIGINAL DREAMTIME MYTHS and NEW AGE FEMINIST material.
One book I casually flipped through stated that all women who challenged
the patriarchal society were called “witches” and had been so termed for
centuries. They had been burned as witches in former days, said the book,
because they had opposed male-dominance in churches and society. A MATTER
FOR WOMEN TO PRAY ABOUT. Perhaps the Lord has deeply touched your heart
reading this article. If so, could you pray about the possibility of joining
with us in witness or action of some sort on behalf of those who are falling
into the Goddess Movement? We are seeking the Lord about this. A group
could possibly be formed in Brisbane which could witness and generally,
lovingly bring light to those lost in massive delusion. The horror part
that strikes us the hardest is that these women, and a number of men actually,
firmly believe that they are CHRISTIANS serving the true God, who to them
is THE GODDESS. Contact Despatch if you feel led to reach out in compassion.
