“TASMANIA COMPLETES GUN LAWS BLOC”.
Tasmania, the state that witnessed the Port Arthur massacre, yesterday
(15th August, 1996) became the LAST STATE to adopt the uniform national
gun laws INSPIRED BY THE TRAGEDY. (Obviously by this article it appears
that the ‘uniform national gun laws’ for every other state are already
in place). Tasmania’s Upper House yesterday agreed to pass the contentious
firearms laws after DAYS OF DEBATE .... more than 80 amendments to the
Bill were made ... then insisted several of them be accepted in the final
version, even though all 35 Lower House MPs refused to accept them. A conference
of four MPs from each House met early yesterday to try to resolve the deadlock
but failed. Later, Police Minister John Beveridge (who featured prominently
in T.V. coverage of the Port Arthur massacre - my comments in brackets)
succeeded in moving a motion calling on the Upper House to accept the last
chance to implement the laws. The Upper House capitulated finally, acknowledging
that although the legislation was not perfect in its eyes, the PEOPLE OF
TASMANIA EXPECTED THE BILL TO BE ENACTED. The Images areas of dispute were
issues related to firearm collections and permits for minors. The legislation
will now become law as soon as it is proclaimed." (End of article).

CONSTANCE CUMBEY’S “A PLANNED DECEPTION”
... (Chapt. 6 Heading) “ DISARMAMENT & THE N.W.O.
” ...opens with the following statement: Alice Bailey’s “Tibetan Master”
told her DISARMAMENT WOULD BE THE LAST OF NINE STEPS TOWARD THE NEW WORLD
ORDER. (We have seen the various agreements between the world powers to
disarm their nuclear weaponry and it would appear that the next step is
to disarm the civilian population by intimidation and/or legislation -
comments in brackets...J. S.). Adding to the completion of the gun laws
in all Australian States is the following article from the “Sunday Telegraph”
August 25, 1996 by Peter Rees in Canberra: Australians suffer from wide-spread
insecurities, according to noted social researcher and commentator Hugh
Mackay. AND INCIDENTS SUCH AS THE PORT ARTHUR MASSACRE have deepened our
anxieties..... The report is a detailed analysis of the mind and mood of
Australians since the election of the Howard government in March. “The
recurring theme of social research over the past few years - that people
feel as if they have lost control of their lives - emerges again in this
study, but with renewed force. Triggered by the PORT ARTHUR massacre (they
seem to major on this - comment...J. S.) many of the anxieties and insecurities
in contemporary Australian society have emerged with a sharper focus, and
feeling of edginess (coupled with a determination to ‘do something’...J.S)
are everywhere to be found. “Australians are fearful of crime and violence.
Their faith in institutions - and in one another - is declining. Insecurity
has sparked a disproportionate fear of crime and violence and led people
to over-react to events such as PORT ARTHUR and to “seek refuge in ever
more stringent regulations.” ...a declining sense and trust in one another,
and in institutions such as the CHURCH and the JUSTICE SYSTEM. (Comments...J.S.
- the usual One World Government tactics - pressures both social and moral
through terrorist and nuclear threats and massacres like Port Arthur, Hoddle
Street, Melbourne and those in America and Scotland - people would willingly
give up national sovereignty in order to achieve peace. And this would
bring in the whole international political system.)

NEW CHURCH “CENSUS” & ECUMENISM.
Earlier this year a television programme featured 3 men representing the Roman Catholic, Anglican and Uniting churches and the discussion centered around the ‘viability’ of church properties in regard to membership, location, buildings and the cost of Imagestaining the clergy. There was general agreement among these three men that it would be advantageous to ‘sell off’ the seldom used properties associated with small and declining denominational memberships. From this would come the ‘sharing’ of one building with worship services and other activities on a rostered basis. It is noted that a 51-question-‘Census’ form has been circulated among the major denominations in the last couple of weeks, of which we have obtained a copy. (See more comments this issue !)
A few years ago there was a census form circulated among the churches
with some very interesting questions and in view of this latest ‘census’
we must be ever mindful of the Roman Catholic Church’s emphasis on “Ecumenism”.
Also we must consider whether the information we give will find its way
on to a computer ‘register’ for such an exercise as mentioned above and
any other cross information that is required for statistical purposes.
.
“The rapid growth of new Pentecostal sects and fundamentalist churches was a major issue confronting Imagesline churches, the most SENIOR AUSTRALIAN IN THE VATICAN said yesterday. CARDINAL EDWARD CASSIDY, at home on holiday from Rome, spoke on Ecumenism at the University of New South Wales. Originally from Newcastle, Cardinal Cassidy is in charge of ECUMENISM for the Catholic Church WORLDWIDE.”
When taking into consideration the church census, the ability to quote
the statistics of denominational numbers, particularly the Brazilian Baptists
and to comment that Ecumenism was suffering a malaise would lead one to
think that this census is not restricted to Australia. Such information
in the hands of the Vatican will greatly assist the amalgamation of all
religions under the One World Religion as revealed in Revelation 17. The
‘new millennium’ as quoted has its beginnings with “The Year of Jubilee
2000” as reported in earlier “Despatch” Magazines.
