JOSHUA – THE FILM….

A film called Joshua is circulating throughout “Christian” communities and churches. This film is blatantly blasphemous, anti-reformation and ecumenical in the extreme, and must have been engineered by the Vatican.

Are Protestant denominations actually accepting this sort of propaganda without a murmur of “Protestation”?

In these perilous times they probably are!

 
Here are a few hideous “teachings” given in the film to confuse and indoctrinate the naïve and ignorant:

JOSHUA mysteriously comes to a country town in the USA, in modern days. He is a sort of 21^st century “Jesus” figure bringing good will and love. He is a worker in wood, a carpenter, who rebuilds a derelict Baptist Church building. The Roman Catholic Church in the area is big and powerful, and “good” and loving. “Father” this and “Father” that are in the story ("And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven." Matt. 23:9); the confessional is shown a number of times with the characters in the film confessing to the “Catholic Fathers” (again unscriptural). Joshua, or “Jesus,” is well in with the Catholic Church, even attends a mass, although the weak rather unimportant Baptist Church receives him as well. Joshua heals the sick, raises the dead, counsels, and inspires, while the Catholic Church looks on approvingly. He has to prove himself legitimate, however, to the spiritual hierarchy of the dominant “true” church of the R.C.s.

Joshua carves a statue of Peter for the local RC church, thus enforcing the idea that “Jesus” built His church upon Peter who was the first Catholic “Pope” figure. Joshua is just a man, kind, and good, hardly God in the flesh, but we are supposed to accept him as rather like Jesus reincarnated. Is this what the film is saying? New Age reincarnation? Remember, saints that Jesus Christ is now in His glory, He is no longer God come in the flesh of a man. He has died and risen from the dead, and He is seated at the right hand of God the Father in unspeakable majesty.

Anyway, back to the film, Joshua. The sickly sweet presentation is aimed right at the heart of the gullible. It is filled with sentiment and human kindness. The presentation of the Baptist Church is of a lower level kind of religion, with somewhat unformed style of worship sessions. The Pentecostals are there too, with fanatical ravings and false healings in their services. But, the Catholic Church is a stable, benevolent Church looking on with condescension.

Joshua finally goes to the Vatican at the request of the Pope himself. “Jesus” represented in this Joshua reincarnation runs off to the Vatican for his audience with the mighty head of the “real” Church.  

 Nowhere in the film do any of the “disciples” of Joshua show true repentance or acceptance of the “Christ” figure as Saviour! They are simply reinforced in their own goodness and need to be more loving and kind.

The scene in the Vatican is blasphemous indeed, at no time is a word of censure spoken against the whole Church, although one individual’s attitude was challenged. The reincarnated “Jesus” figure seats himself lower than the Pope, and is questioned by him. “Who are you?” is basically what the Pope asks, among other things.  Joshua says, “Peter, do you not know Me?” Again reinforcing the concept that the Roman Catholic Church was the church started by Jesus Christ Himself, founded upon the apostle Peter, and the Pope is the “Peter” figure of our day, as the Popes always are. (Compare John 21:11 -14 and Matthew 16:17-19, upon which the R.C.s have built spurious doctrines of Papal supremacy). Joshua sits compliantly with the Pope gazing up at him with reverence! Virtually at his feet! So, we are to accept the teachings and practices of the Vatican are we? This is what the film is pushing.

The film Joshua, is rather like a Second Coming of Christ where the Lord’s main mission is to show what is the real Church – the Roman Catholic Church. This is also one of the main missions of the Anti-Christ, to bring about the Unity of all religions, with the Vatican sitting on the top of the pile – the king of the castle. Joshua is a depiction of Christ, coming again, to bring all denominations under the yoke of Rome. It is really an allegory of this fake “Christ” coming to fix up the “Church” at long last – after the “apostasy” of the Reformation!

 Let us remind all our readers of what the Roman Catholic Church stands for:

Mother and child worship – straight out of the worship system of Isis and child, Semiramis and Tammuz worship. All the paraphernalia of the R.C.s is pagan, not Christian.

MARY is worshipped and takes top spot in the Roman Catholic system, replacing Christ Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

The Sacrifice of the Mass is blasphemous indeed. Transubstantiation is a LIE. Christ Jesus died but once, and is risen to New Life. In the R.C.s’ religious system Christ Jesus is actually said to be sacrificed in the mass hundreds of thousands of times every year, at every mass the Catholic Church perpetrates against God across the earth.

Babylonian beliefs are hidden within the Catholic belief systems and artifacts; it is merely the Whore of Babylon as shown in Revelation 17:1-6.

Mary is supposed to have been resurrected just as Jesus was…to fit in with the RC idea of a co-redeemer.

Justification by works is taught by the Roman Catholic Church, as well as salvation by taking part in the abominable mass and in confessional to the priests. Millions are in spiritual death and bondage under the Vatican. These charlatans want more, they want erstwhile Protestant blood!

Dear friends, this film Joshua is a hot potato, not a sweet little allegorical film. It is selling in Koorong bookshop of course; advertised as a representation of the “Life of Jesus”. Many will fall prey to its message of “return to the Mother Church” as was the intention in making it. UNITY of religions (Ecumenism) is the horror presented in this clever little monstrosity of a film, under Rome – Joshua.

 It is a Catholic vehicle of smart-aleck brainwashing.
