Jews from "House of David" Mt Zion, Jerusalem, Israel have sent us [Despatch] an E-mail which is denouncing Christianity, and is showing an agenda which includes imposing the "Noahide Laws" upon Gentiles. The following is our response to this correspondence which was sent to ourselves, unsolicited. Should you receive one of these "epistles" from the Jews the answers may help to inspire your own reply! Pray for the Jews, Christian believer, that God might open spiritual eyes amongst them at this period.

Dear Jewish people,
You have written to our Website, for this
we thank you.
Your E-mail has raised a number of issues
which should be addressed.
I will answer you throughout the E-mail:
===============================
At 01:37 9/05/1999 +0300, you wrote:
Dear Friend,
Did you ever wonder why the Jewish people
don't believe in the New Testament? How come for 2000 years the Jewish
people have been dedicated to Judaism to the point of allowing themselves
to be killed rather than convert to Christianity?
DESPATCH ANSWER:
A saved person, a redeemed Christian,
would NEVER insist on anyone converting to Christianity! No Jew has ever
had any fear of being killed because they would not convert to Christ Jesus!
He loves you, and so do we. No matter what your belief about Christ as
Saviour and Messiah happens to be, the Lord Jesus loves you and so do born-again
Christians. Jews have never been persecuted by the true followers of Christ
Jesus, they have been persecuted by the apostate denominations and evil
men.
HOUSE OF DAVID CONTINUES:
In their 20 page scholarly work entitled
"Why don't the Jewish people don't recognise the New Testament?", theological
scholars Eliyahoo Silver and Isaac Even Zahav demonstrate that Christianity
is based on mistaken premises, misperceptions, and misunderstanding of
what God is really all about. These conclusions and insights may seem strange
to many since they go against everything many people have learned all their
lives. But, many have seen that in fact Truth is stranger than fiction,
Truth has no friends, but we must accept the Truth; not my truth, not your
truth....but God's Truth.
DESPATCH ANSWER:
I was personally saved by trust in Christ
as Saviour over 42 years ago. I have known, loved and served the Lord God
Almighty ever since. He is a glorious reality in my own life. The Scriptures,
both Old Testament and New Testament, are my daily spiritual food. God
answers my prayers, and He blesses me continually in a personal, living
way. Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no man cometh unto
the Father but by me." John 14:6. If you will not accept Christ Jesus as
Saviour and Messiah you cannot have "Truth" at all, sad to say!
HOUSE OF DAVID CONTINUES:
Here are some excerpts from Eliyahoo Silver's
and Isaac Even Zahav's scholarly work entitled "Why don't the Jewish
people recognise the New Testament?" regarding the Oneness of God,
Jesus as Messiah, Virgin Birth, and the Covenent God made with Noah
The Oneness of God
"The Jewish God is one, as it is
written; "Hear Israel, Y-H-W-H is our God, Y-H-W-H is
one." Deut. 6:4. So according to the Bible there is one God, and
that One God is One. One means One; not two, not three, not three in one,
not two in one, not three divisions of one, but One whole One Alone. ........
The ancient idol worshipping cultures
believed that there are many different gods, but God made it very clear
in the Bible that He is the One and only God. Christianity believes that
God is divided into three parts; the father, the son and the holy ghost.
They try to make one out of these three, because God clearly says in the
Bible that He is One.
DESPATCH ANSWER:
No, this is not so. Your "experts' are
wrong! Christianity teaches that there is but ONE God. Nor does Christianity
teach that God is divided into three parts. God is a Person, God expresses
Himself through the Holy Spirit. God came to earth in the Person of His
Son, who the Bible tells us is the "express image" of the Heavenly Father:
" (Jesus Christ) Who being the brightness
of [his] glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all
things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins,
sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;" (Hebrews 1:3) .
THIS IS THE TRUTH ABOUT WHAT CHRISTIANITY
TEACHES: from the New Testament given to all men by the Lord God
Almighty:
"As concerning therefore the eating of
those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an
idol [is] nothing in the world, and that [there is] none other God but
one. For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven
or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many) But to us [there
is but] one God, the Father, of whom [are] all things, and we in him; and
one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom [are] all things, and we by him." (I Corinthians
8:4-6).
HOUSE OF DAVID CONTINUES:
However, by definition God is an ever
present, all powerful, omniscient, intangible, and unlimited Being, therefore,
by dividing God into 3 parts, by definition you thus limit Him. This cannot
be so.
Deut. 4:39: "Know therefore this day and
consider it in your heart that the Lord He is God in heaven above, and
upon the earth beneath; there is none else."
Deut. 32:39: "See now that I, even I,
am He, and there is no god with me."Isaiah 43:10: "I am He, before Me no
god was created, neither shall there be after Me."Isaiah 44:6:"Thus saith
the Y-H-W-H, the king of Israel, and his redeemer, the Lord of hosts; I
am the first and I am the last, and beside me there is no god."
Isaiah 45:18:"I am the Y-H-W-H and there
is none else."
Please notice that nowhere in the here
is spoken about a trinity. The concept of trinity is nowhere to be found
in the Old Testament or the New Testament. ...
There is One God, and that One God is
One. One means One. That is not two, not three, not three in one, not two
in One, but One."
DESPATCH ANSWER:
ALL the above Scriptures are taught by
Christianity. I have been taught them since I was child. The Trinity is
NOT about "three gods." You do not understand the New Testament teaching
on this. If you want to, I will discuss this with you. Who are I addressing,
a group of men, a man, who? Are you open to truth and reality about the
New Testament, the Old Testament and the Lord Jesus Christ? If so, we can
discuss these vital matters together.
HOUSE OF DAVID CONTINUES:
Jesus as the Messiah
"Who and what is the Messiah? Let
us see according to the holy Hebrew scriptures what the Messiah is supposed
to do as required and defined by God himself through His prophets.
In Isaiah 2:4 it is written that in the
messianic days the swords will be beaten into plowshares and the spears
into pruninghooks.
Isaiah 60:18: "Violence shall no
more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within your borders,
but you shall call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise."
Zechariah 14:11: "And there shall be no
more destruction but Jerusalem will be safely inhabited.
Amos 9:14-15: "And I will bring
again the captivity of my people of Israel and they shall build the waste
cities and inhabit them; and I will plant them upon their land, and they
shall no more be pulled out of their land which I have given them, says
Y-H-W-H your God." ...
... And then a Jew stands up and
claims that he is the Messiah, the savior that is announced by the prophets.
But he did not do what he was supposed to do, set the Jews free from their
oppressors, the Romans, and establish an era of peace and tranquillity
for the Jews and all mankind. Instead he gets killed and all that there
is left of him is a collection of writings, called the New Testament.
But he claimed that he would establish this all in THAT generation: See
Mark 13:24-30 and Matthew 16:27-28; "Verily I say unto you; there be some
standing here that shall not taste of death till they see the son of man
coming in his kingdom." ... Unnecessary to say that he failed totally.
...
DESPATCH ANSWER:
NO, dear Jewish people! I do not write
in anger or aggression, only to be able to help, and by so doing I am obeying
the Lord God in speaking to you of the Gospel. Jesus Christ was the Messiah
Who came to die for the sin of the World:
"For God so loved the world that He gave
His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life. "
(John 3:16).
Jesus Christ defeated death for us all.
He rose again from the dead, and is seated on the right hand of God in
victory. He is coming again soon to set up His Millennial reign on earth,
according to the prophecies you quote. Then the promises to Israel will
be fulfilled, for He will reign from the Throne of David:
"Of the increase of [his] government and
peace [there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom,
to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth
even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this." (Isaiah
9:7).
Jesus Christ was rejected by the Chosen
Nation, Israel, when He came at His first advent. He could not set up His
millennial reign on earth at that juncture, because the Jews would not
accept Him and His mission on earth. The Old Testament clearly tells that
the Messiah would die and rise again, yet you would not believe your Scriptures!
Read very carefully just one passage if you dare, that is Isaiah 52:13-53:12.
This is the suffering Messiah which you STILL will not recognise as the
Son of God.
Isaiah chapter 53:
"1 Who hath believed our report? and to
whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? 2 For he shall grow up before him
as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor
comeliness; and when we shall see him, [there is] no beauty that we should
desire him. 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and
acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were [our] faces from him; he was
despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and
carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and
afflicted. 5 But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised
for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with
his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have
turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity
of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not
his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before
her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. 8 He was taken from
prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he
was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my
people was he stricken. 9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with
the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither [was any]
deceit in his mouth. 10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath
put [him] to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin,
he shall see [his] seed, he shall prolong [his] days, and the pleasure
of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. 11 He shall see of the travail of
his soul, [and] shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous
servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore
will I divide him [a portion] with the great, and he shall divide the spoil
with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he
was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made
intercession for the transgressors."
(Heb. mashiah), in all the thirty-nine
instances of its occurring in the Old Testament, is rendered by the
LXX. "Christos." It means anointed. Thus priests (Ex. 28:41; 40:15; Num.
3:3), prophets (1 Kings 19:16), and kings (1 Sam. 9:16; 16:3; 2 Sam.
12:7) were anointed with oil, and so consecrated to their respective offices.
The great Messiah is anointed "above his fellows" (Ps. 45:7); i.e., he
embraces in himself all the three offices. The Greek form "Messias" is
only twice used in the New Testament, in John 1:41 and 4:25 (R.V., "Messiah"),
and in the Old Testament the word Messiah, as the rendering of the Hebrew,
occurs only twice (Dan
9:25, 26; R.V., "the anointed one").
The first great promise (Gen. 3:15) contains in it the germ of all the prophecies recorded in the Old Testament regarding the coming of the Messiah and the great work he was to accomplish on earth. The prophecies became more definite and fuller as the ages rolled on; the light shone more and more unto the perfect day. Different periods of prophetic revelation have been pointed out, (1) the patriarchal; (2) the Mosaic; (3) the period of David; (4) the period of prophetism, i.e., of those prophets whose works form a part of the Old Testament canon. The expectations of the Jews were thus kept alive from generation to generation, till the "fulness of the times," when Messiah came, "made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law." In him all these ancient prophecies have their fulfilment. Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah, the great Deliverer who was to come. (Comp. Matt. 26:54; Mark 9:12; Luke 18:31; 22:37; John 5:39; Acts 2; 16:31; 26:22, 23.) Notes from God's Word for Windows, Bible Dictionary.
Christ Jesus was the Divine Sacrifice for
the sin of the world.sacrifice The offering up of sacrifices is to
be regarded as a divine institution. It did not originate with
man. God himself appointed it as the mode
in which acceptable worship was to be offered to him by guilty man. The
language and the idea of sacrifice pervade the whole Bible.
Sacrifices were offered in the ante-diluvian age. The Lord clothed Adam and Eve with the skins of animals, which in all probability had been offered in sacrifice (Gen. 3:21). Abel offered a sacrifice "of the firstlings of his flock" (4:4; Heb. 11:4). A distinction also was made between clean and unclean animals, which there is every reason to believe had reference to the offering up of sacrifices (Gen. 7:2, 8), because animals were not given to man as food till after the Flood.
The same practice is continued down through the patriarchal age (Gen. 8:20; 12:7; 13:4, 18; 15:9-11; 22:1-18, etc.). In the Mosaic period of Old Testament history definite laws were prescribed by God regarding the different kinds of sacrifices that were to be offered and the manner in which the offering was to be made. The offering of stated sacrifices became indeed a prominent and distinctive feature of the whole period (Ex. 12:3-27; Lev. 23:5-8; Num. 9:2-14).
We learn from the Epistle to the
Hebrews that sacrifices had in themselves no value or efficacy. They were
only the "shadow of good things to come," and pointed the worshippers forward
to the coming of the great High Priest, who, in the fullness of the time,
"was offered once for all to bear the sin of many." Sacrifices belonged
to a temporary economy, to a system of types and emblems which served their
purposes and have now passed away. The "one sacrifice for sins" hath "perfected
for ever them that are sanctified."
(Notes from "God's Word for Windows",
Bible Concordance/Dictionary).
BACK TO THE COMMENTS FROM HOUSE OF DAVID:
.... By the Living Word of God Himself
it is clear that the Messiah must redeem Israel and bring universal peace.
However, this is not done by Jesus. On the contrary, after he was executed
as a common criminal the temple got destroyed, and the Jewish people were
exiled, and since then violent war after war has swept over the earth.
In order to get around this problem, the Christian church invented the
second coming. However, nowhere in the Hebrew scriptures is it written
that the messiah would come once, get killed, and come again in a second
coming. This is a pure rationalisation of Jesus failure to function in
any way as a Messiah. ..."
DESPATCH ANSWER:
Yes the Scriptures do tell us those things.
Your own Scriptures in the Old Testament have always told you so. Jesus
Christ is the Stone that Builders rejected, you Jews are the "builders"
who have rejected Him. But one day the Remnant if Israel will mourn the
one that they pierced, just as your Scriptures say. You will know then
that Jesus Christ was indeed your Messiah, after the Second Coming of the
Lord. Read carefully all the Biblical references I give you. It is not
too late to come to the Saviour, the One whom God sent to suffer
and die for YOUR sin. He is the Lamb of God, the Sacrifice of God.
"Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? "(Matt.21:42).
"The stone [which] the builders refused is become the head [stone] of the corner. This is the LORD'S doing; it [is] marvellous in our eyes." (Psalm 118:22).
"Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this." (Isaiah 9:7).
In the future Israel will mourn for the
Messiah that they rejected and saw crucified! See your prophet Zechariah:
"And I will pour upon the house of David,
and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications:
and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn
for him, as one mourneth for [his] only [son], and shall be in bitterness
for him, as one that is in bitterness for [his] firstborn." (Zechariah
12:10).
HOUSE OF DAVID CONTINUES:
Virgin Birth
"The angel tells Joseph (Matthew 1:22-23)
that this is done in order to fulfill the word of the prophet; "Behold,
a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall
call his name Emmanuel. ...This prophecy is quoted as being from Isaiah
7:14. There it says; "Behold a virgin shall conceive and bare a son and
shall call his name Emmanuel."
But for the Jewish reader that knows Hebrew,
this also raises problems. The Hebrew word in Isaiah 7:14 that the King
James translation translates as virgin is the Hebrew word "Almah".
But, in Hebrew, the word "Almah" means young woman, NOT virgin. The Hebrew
word for virgin is "Betulah". Therefore the word virgin in the king James
translation of Isaiah 7:14 is a mistranslation. ...
DESPATCH ANSWER:
Sorry, this is not so. An unmarried young
woman would NEVER be in the Old Testament as a "Almah" if she was NOT a
virgin. Otherwise she would be an older married woman, or a harlot. The
word means a lass, a maiden, or a virgin - "veiled or private." This word
does not refer to a married woman, and a virtuous Jewish maiden would of
course be a virgin. So Jesus Christ was born of a Jewish maiden who had
not had her marriage consummated. She was virgin indeed!
HOUSE OF DAVID CONTINUES:
Nowhere in the Old Testament is
a prophecy that the messiah will be born unto a virgin. In fact, virgins
nowhere give birth in the Old Testament. This concept is only to be found
in pagan mythology. By the way, if this was really a virgin birth, than
the requirement to be Messiah of being a direct paternal descendant of
king David was not fullfilled.... To the Jews, what does this say about
the reliability of the New Testament? "
DESPATCH ANSWER:
Sorry, you are wrong again! In the New
Testament the Son of God was brought forth from a virgin, Jewish lass.
Just as the Bible said would happen."Therefore the Lord himself shall give
you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall
call his name Immanuel." (Isaiah 7:14).
Please learn these by memory and know these
this day for this is what God commands you as descendants of Noah.
For the Jewish people is is pointed out
"The Jewish people have a different mission in life; "And you shall be
unto me a kingdom of priests, a Holy nation." Exodus 19:6. For this
reason the Jewish people have to live according 613 commandments
commanded to them in their Holy book called the Torah and the Gentiles
must be committed never to lead Jews astray from living by the Holy Torah.

DESPATCH ANSWER:
The Noahide Laws are NOT of God! There
is far more to these "laws" than that which is presented above! We give
you warning now that if you continue on the track you have set yourselves,
you will accept a false "Christ" or "Messiah" who is the abomination of
desolation, or the AntiChrist. The New World Order is behind the instillation
of the Noahide Laws across the globe. Please read the attached information
on the Noahide Laws. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU DO SO!
We pray that you might have your eyes opened by the Lord God, Maker of Heaven and Earth.
