WE ARE ETERNALLY SECURE IN CHRIST JESUS.
The voices that surround the Christian believers today are sending out mixed and bewildering messages! GOD however is the One Voice we need listen to - let the rest rattle on for all they are worth. The One Voice sends out His message of Good News with such love, compassion and entreaty that He drowns out all-comers who oppose Him. Where is His Voice heard? Where can we find the sweet, so sweet message of Divine Good Will and mercy towards we helpless sinners? Why in His own dear book, the Bible. THE BIBLE, still standing strong against the storms, indeed cyclones, of higher criticism, multitudes of “new versions”, misquoting and fabrication and “visions” and “prophecies” from the counterfeiting enemy forces.

DAVID PAWSON.
The most wonderful of all of the Good News that God tells us is the precious, unspeakably glorious, news of salvation in the Blood of Christ. Christ alone, Grace alone, and Faith alone. No wonder then that false teachers and authors specialise in seeking to remove the confidence in God that we should have in regard to salvation as a free gift.

One such author is the spurious David Pawson, whose book “Once Saved, Always Saved? A Study in Perseverance and Inheritance ” was sent to me by the author himself! He sent it to try to prove to me his authenticity, his sound Scriptural stand, his grasp of the Word of God. To say I was horrified by the book is too weak a description of what was my reaction! No friends, God’s Voice denounces such under-mining work as Pawson’s book. God’s Voice drowns out the whimpers of this man and his doubts!

Who will you believe, the Lord or a doubting, fearful Thomas?
 

“For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.” ( 11 Timothy 1:12).
WE ARE ETERNALLY SAFE IN THE SAVIOUR!
Let us listen to God’s Voice, and be in an attitude of reverence and praise. His mercy is so great, His love so magnanimous that He sent His own Son to die for us while we were yet sinners. Salvation is ALL the work of God, we can never add anything to this mighty act of God. Your efforts or the efforts of such men as David Pawson are as nothing to a mighty and Holy Lord. First, listen to the back cover of the Pawson book’s voice of doubt and disbelief. Then we will hear the One Voice drown out the objections:

Pawson’s book:

“...evangelical assumptions about grace and justification, divine sovereignty and human responsibility. He [Pawson} asks whether something more than being born again is required so that our inheritance is not lost. This book helps us to decide whether ‘ once saved, always saved’ is real assurance or a misleading assumption.”
The whole book seeks to under-mine the faith of the believer
in the All-sufficiency of Christ’s shed Blood!

GOD VOICE DECLARES:

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38,39).
Who will you believe?
There is but one choice, God’s Voice drowns out the doubts of Pawson.

LET US APPROACH THE SUBJECT OF
ETERNAL SECURITY WITH  REVERENCE -

“WE ARE ETERNALLY SECURE IN CHRIST JESUS.”

1. The Logical Approach.

“He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? “ ( Romans 8:32).
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
( Romans 5:8).
Let God’s Voice give logic to your understanding. If as unbelievers we were enemies of God (Romans 5), once we believe in Christ as Saviour we are God’s children. If God did the most He could for lost sinners when we were His enemies, what more will He do for His Blood-bought children? This excludes loss of salvation for He saved us while we were His enemies!

2. The Experiential Approach.

“It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.”
(11 Timothy 2:12,13).
Let God’s Voice drown out all doubting Thomases. If we suffer we produce divine good under blessing conditions. If we, as the redeemed, deny Christ  He is going to deny us rewards. If we believe not, as the redeemed, and renounce Him, HE abideth FAITHFUL. You cannot do anything that can change God, Jesus cannot deny Himself. Jesus is at the Right Hand of Father, He is the God-Man inside you. He ever liveth to intercede for you.
“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.” ( Hebrews 7:25).
3. The Family Approach.
“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” ( Galatians 3:26).
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: “ ( 1 John 1:12).
When you believe in Christ you are said to be “born again.” Born into the family of God. You cannot be unborn. You are the child or son of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Once a child always a child of God’s. You Father’s Voice cries:
“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.  Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” ( 1 John 3: 1, 2).
Our voice cries in return: “ABBA, FATHER!”

4. The Inheritance Approach.

“To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” ( 1Peter 1:4,5).
We have an inheritance which can never be corrupted, removed, disintegrated, or become defiled in any way - this is RESERVED for the saved one in Heaven. Your place has been paid for by the precious Blood of Christ Himself, and your ticket and seat have been RESERVED by the Son of God. Don’t tell me that He can fail us. NEVER! We HAVE an inheritance NOW ( perfect tense) it will always be reserved, the reservation cannot be cancelled - the price has already been paid. The power of God, the sacrifice made on the Cross, was that Payment made!

5. God’s Hands Approach.

“And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.  My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.” ( John 10:28).
Hear the One True Voice of God’s own Word!
God is All powerful. He is greater than ALL.  If He says that NO MAN pluck us out of His Hand, who can stand against Him? If He says we will NEVER PERISH, NEVER, then who can dare contradict His promise? If the Father is greater than all, and He gave us to Christ, then WHO can say we can ever be lost? Away with such doubting and lack of faith. Hear again the One True Voice:
“Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.” ( Psalm 32: 24).
6. The Sovereignty Approach.
“ Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,” ( Jude 1:24).
Once you have accepted Christ as Saviour, trusted in His redemption, it is God’s Sovereign will that you will never perish! His Sovereignty is being brought into doubt by teachers such as Pawson! Yield your minds and hearts to the Sovereign Lord and His will for you! See His will:
“...is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish.. “(11 Peter 3:9).
7. The Body Approach.
Christ is the Head of the Body. We are the members of His Body. Whether we are “feet”, “arms”, “eyes” or “ears” we are all important to the Body. No Body is complete with the smallest member being absent or cut off! The completed  Body will be in glory for eternity! Colossians 1:18.
“But now are they many members, yet but one body. And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.  Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:” ( 1 Corinthians 12:20-22).
8. The Greek Tense Approach.
“For by grace are ye saved. “  Perfect tense of the verb “sozo.” For by Grace you were saved in the past, and you will go on being saved for Eternity. Ephesians 2:8-9. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.” We don’t have to "persevere" or we will be lost and go to hell, as the Pawsons of this world imagine. That would be “works” for salvation, not unmerited Grace!

9. The Sealing Ministry of the Holy Spirit Approach.

“Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;   Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.”
( 11 Corinthians 2: 21,22),
“That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.  In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,   Which is the earnest of our inheritance ... “ (Ephesians 1: 12-14).
In the ancient world the SEAL was a guarantee of protection. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit guarantees our absolute security. We can grieve the Holy Spirit, we can quench the Holy Spirit, but we can never lose the Holy Spirit.
“ Let your conversation be without covetousness;  and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
( Hebrews 13:5).
“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you FOREVER;  Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” ( John 14: 16,17).
IS THE ARGUMENT ABOUT ETERNAL SECURITY A MATTER OF OPINION?
NO, for the entire record of God is being brought into question by those who WILL NOT accept Christ alone, Grace alone and Faith alone! Lack of trust and faith in the Precious Sacrifice of Christ are at the bottom of this denial of the Sufficiency of the Blood of Christ. Let us not be of those who refuse to rest in the Precious Blood alone. Mind Semantics, high-sounding books, voices of doubt and fear, foolish arguments come and go. One thing is needed and it alone - THE VOICE OF GOD IN HIS WORD!
“It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
( Lamentations 3:22,23).
