The Lord is for the body, and the body for the Lord.

1 Cor. 6:13.

Jesus Christ can be a wonderful influence on the body.

When you find your satisfaction and comfort in Him and in the words of Scripture, this should set you free from trying to find false satisfaction and comfort in food! Jesus Christ Himself is wisdom and life, and when you are filled with His indwelling life you find full happiness. 1 Cor. 1:30.

"Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.
Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her."

Proverbs 3: 13-18.

Let Jesus fill you with His Spirit:

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance (being moderate in all things, having the self control to do this): against such there is no law.
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit."

Galatians 5:22-25.

We are two women who work in ministry together, and have trusted the Lord to save us from OUR weight-gain problem. We have tried many times to lose weight, but have found the meal-replacement plan the best and easiest, to start off with to get the confidence to try other avenues....                                  see details of our initial plans

We have been losing weight as God has led us since Christmas combined with Gym work!

We have, since starting this page been offered a reduced Gym Membership for 18 mths...we started on the personal trainer advised programme 3 times a week at 5.30am, altenate days...Mon., Wed., Frid.
(We get up about 4.45am, dress, then a piece of fruit...15 mins before exercising, dietitian says not exercise early without this as you are not burning off fat. {other times exercise 2 hrs. after a meal... eat after exrercise]).
This does not interfere with our busy day, but since then we have also been provided by the Pensioner's Care Plan, with a chance to access a dietition. He says we have to go 4 times each week to really address the weight issue. So now we now do on Saturday afternoon 2pm. to be in between Friday & Monday.
We do 10 mins of the cross trainer (like sking), then various weight exercises, to help our body anomalies, then 20+ mins of the treadmill, bike and rowing machines. We hobble over to the sauna for a hot sweaty 30 mins while reading our favourite book, then what is left of ourselves we shower. (1 & 1/2 hours exercise and sauna, 15 mins shower, not much out of a day)
After the shower we feel like new people able to face the day. We pick up the mail on the way home, and have breakfast... at present a liquid meal replacement, a short snooze as it is only 8am...then our bible study and house work and odd jobs..Then by 10am we are ready for our morning frothy coffee and work for the day.... the Gym was most certainly a gift from God, also the access to the Dietitian.
