Tonight’s topic is ‘Nations and Religions Uniting’ – countdown to Daniel’s final week.

There are so many things taking place in the world right now and that will be taking place in the weeks ahead that we, as Christians, have got to be aware of. If there has ever been a time to understand the ‘signs of the times’, this is the time and in order to recognize the signs of the times we have to know the Bible very thoroughly.

We also have to have a decent understanding of the current events so that we can apply to the Scriptures what is going on. One without the other does not allow us to recognize the signs of the times. You know Jesus frustrated about the fact that so many of the people around Him did not see the signs of the times in His day. Here He was, the Son of God come to earth and He tried to explain it in every way possible and people still didn’t get it and in Luke Chapter 12 verses 54-56 He says, and I quote:

When you see a cloud rising west, immediately you say it is going to rain and it does. When the south wind blows you say it is going to be hot, and it is. Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time.

That statement applies so much to what is happening today. I think that if Jesus was to appear physically right now He could utter those same exact words, maybe as applicable as ever.

If you were going to consider investing in a company, you would want to apply any Scriptural principles to making that decision. Right? But you would still have to know something about that company before you would invest that money. For example, what products does that company produce? Can you from a moral standpoint support that company with your money? Secondly, is that company managed well, what are their ethics? You need to look at all kind of things. You need to apply Scriptural principles to the actual developments of that company. The same way with current events – Scripture/current events – together help give you discernment to recognize the signs of the times. ‘Discernment’ is the word of the day – in other words – that is what I am trying to say.

What I would like to do tonight is try to share with you some of the most important developments taking place in the world today that we need to be aware of and shed some Scriptural light on those developments. I will be starting by sharing about some current events and then taking a look at some of the spiritual motivations behind these, more-or-less political current  events and then will quote some Scripture references and shed some light on those developments.

On May 22nd through to 26th my friend Jamie Brendan, again that is not his real name, but that is what we will be referring to him as. I have known him for over 5 years now, he is a good family man, a solid Christian. This gentleman had opportunity of attending a meeting called “The U.N. Millennium Forum”. This was held at the United Nations. Only 1300 people (approximately) got in. You had to be U.N. accredited to get in. He should not have gotten in, but by the grace of God he did and it is a long story how it happened but he has been attending global government meetings for years and that is how we have been getting a lot of our information.

Sometimes people ask – how in the world do you get this information?– well, I have it revealed – one of the sources, anyway, how we get it but we felt it is important enough now because of everything that is happening and he comes forward and actually do some of these talk shows with me and get the message out.

But because of him being at this meeting, we were able to get hold of this information that I will be sharing tonight.
The purpose of the U.N. Millennium Forum was to try to set the stage for an up-coming meeting at the United Nations just a few days away now – September 6th through to the 8th called “The U.N. Millennium Summit” and what the people of the U.N. often times do is – they like to work from the bottom up and the top down at the same time. They like to set the stage so that they can do what they want to do in a certain way. And the purpose of the U.N. Millennium Forum in May was to create the impression that the people of the world want the United Nations to empower itself. The people of the world want the U.N. to ratify or pass, approve these various international treaties giving the U.N. more power and authority.

By having this meeting, the United Nations, in a few days from now will be able to point back to what took place in May and say ‘the people of the world want us to do what we are doing’. Well, that is a deception because the people that were there had to be accredited by the U.N. just to get in. This was a U.N. function – a U.N. function billed as a people’s event and in fact, Koffe Annan back in 1997 in the summer of that year, called for a ‘Global People’s Assembly’ to begin in the year 2000 to have a meeting in the year 2000. This meeting, the U.N. Millennium Forum in May was that meeting. They just didn’t call it the ‘Global People’s Assembly’ probably, but that what it was.

All kinds of initiatives and proposals came out of that meeting, and this is what the United Nations is going to moved forward with, or at least try to in September. Now I am going into a lot more detail in the Millennium Forum in a little bit but I had to give you some of the backgrounds on everything else will make sense.

Now some of the meetings coming up, I will touch on three or four of them:

On August 28th to 31st, also at the U.N. will be a meeting called ‘The Millennium Summit of Religious Leaders’ – now that is the shortened name. The full name is ‘The Millennium World Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual Leaders’, but it is referred to as ‘The Millennium of Religious Leaders’ – all of the top religious leaders of the world meeting at the United Nations for 4 days to be indoctrinated by the U.N. – if they aren’t already – for the U.N. to try to get their support regarding the up-coming political summit which follows the religious summit by just a few days.

So you have all the top religious leaders in the world and all the top political leaders in the world coming together at the U.N. within just 10 or 12 days. Unprecedented – this has never happened – it has never happened in world history that we are aware of. Some of the people who have helped to make this Millennium Summit of Religious Leaders possible include Ted Turner, Maurice Strong (who is the U.N.’s top environmental advocate – he organised the Rio de Janeiro’s Earth Summit in 1993). Another person – Michael Gorbachev – these have been the main three individuals responsible for  pulling off this Millennium Summit of Religious Leaders.

We pulled something off of their web site – they now have a web site promoting this conference – I will just quote a few lines.

They say on August 28 through to August 31st 2000 in the first gathering of its kind, the Millennium World Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual leaders will unite several hundred pre-eminent leaders from the world’s great religious and faith traditions to pledge a commitment for the achievement of world peace. It is all being done in the name of world peace. The World Peace Summit is being convened to co-ordinate religious and spiritual leadership as an inter-faith ally to the United Nations in its quest for peace, global understanding and international co-operation.

A strong collaboration is needed between the United Nations and the religious and spiritual community (end quote). They realise if they are going to go anywhere with the political agenda they’ve got to have a good strong minority, if not majority of the world’s religious leaders on board with them – supporting them and that is what this meeting is all about. Even Pope John Paul II will be having his personal representative there, so we were told, just last week.

We do not have a complete list yet of everyone who is going to be at this meeting. As soon as we do, we will let people know about that. I will tell you, that if there are any evangelical leaders that participate in this meeting continue to support it after they go through these days of meetings, you need to be on the phones calling these people, telling them that they should not be supporting this. If they continue to do so, you will not support them.

This is about as blatant as it gets. It is the coming together of the religious and political to promote global government and interfaith-ism which is not of God. You cannot believe that all religions are pathways to God and believe that Jesus Christ is the only way at the same time – you cannot do that.

Some other developments, I will go into a little bit more detail now on the United Nations Millennium Summit, the main event. This will be held from September 6th through to the 8th – also hosted by the United Nations, just like the religious summit, they are expecting over 100 heads of state from around the world to this event. The largest gathering of heads of state ever known at the U.N. At that time the United Nations hopes to get these international leaders to ratify over 500 international treaties that will be open on the table.

Now I am sure U.N. leaders do not expect all those treaties to be ratified, but in fact, they are going to be pushing 15 or 20 of them above the others. But they are going to have a special area prepared where leaders can go in there and in a ceremonious type of way to sign these international treaties. Now in the United States, Bill Clinton cannot sign an international treaty and it have any weight without Congress ratifying it afterwards. However, it is not the case in many of the countries of the world.

In some countries the head of state has authority to do that so if you get enough heads of state in the world signing and ratifying these international treaties and covenants that really gets a snow-ball effect going. The media can then use pressure upon Congress to get them to ratify these treaties as well lest we fall behind the rest of the world and lose any kind of leadership position or input that we may have at the United Nations. So I believe all this will be used to generate momentum to apply pressure.

Another event that will be taking place during the same time of the Millennium Summit is Michael Gorbichev’s group called The State of the World Forum, will also be in New York City holding their meetings – September 5th through to the 9th. Now Michael Gorbachev has been holding these meetings for at least 5 years now in San Francisco each fall for three or four days. This year they are having it in New York City because of all the action that is going to be taking place in New York.

Not only that, Gorbachev’s State of the World Forum will be holding a special joint session with the United Nations during this Millennium Summit. This too is unprecendented – you can only imagine what is going to take place at that time. Gorbachev’s group in essence, has been a global government planning group, every year whenever they get together, they talk about it very openly how they nudge this agenda along.

In the past you have had people like Ted Turner, Shirley Maclaine – some radical new-agers, Colin Powell, people from various world religions – they have covered all the religions, all the races, top leaders from all areas that had been attending these State of the World Forum meetings and some people that say one thing publicly, privately at these meetings have been saying something completely different. The reason we know that is several years ago, a good friend of mine from Colorado got into this meeting with press credentials and was blown away at how blatant it was and I quote it from her tape recordings and stuff in my book ‘The New World Religion’. Amazing what takes place in these meetings – none of it getting mass-media coverage at all and this has been going on for years.

Along with some of the people I named, many of the world top economic leaders also attend these State of the World Forums and some of the top scientists – Nobel prize winners, its like a whos-who of the world. So whoever is not covered between the religious summit in late August and the political summit at the U.N. from the 6th through to the 8th of September will be at the State of the World Forum meeting. So between these three meetings you have got the religious, political and economic all covered – all meeting in New York. And what do you think is going to happen if Gorbachev has an opportunity to address the United Nations, which is appears will take place? Obviously, he will be unveiling his goals, at least some of them and trying to get the United Nations and all the leaders gathered there to consider ratifying these, if not right away, eventually.

One of the documents, I am sure will be discussed, because it was discussed heavily at the Millennium Forum back in May, is the Earth Charter. For the last 5 or 6 years this has been Michael Gorbachev’s number one document that he has pushed although he did not draft it, he has been very much involved in promoting it and I would say, he is the world’s number one spokesperson on behalf of the Earth Charter. People around the world identify Michael Gorbachev with the Earth Charter.
Gorbachev refers to the document as ‘a type of 10 commandments or sermon on the mount’. He has a lot of other statements about it as well that I have in the book, but that is what he often refers to it as and Maurice Strong, who is Gorbachev’s ally on this Earth Charter, he refers to it as a ‘Magna Carta for planet Earth’. Now this is to be, and they have designed this to be the global governing document. This is the main document, a type of constitution, a general type of constitution, it is more of a general document. There will be other documents to give it more teeth. But here is a copy of it, we got a finished copy of it which was unveiled just recently and copies of this were available for you in Millennium Forum. We just got these hot off the press.

I am going to share with you just a couple of quotes from the Earth Charter, but before I do, you need to understand that they are doing this all in the name of the environment. In order to bring about global government, people have to be convinced that we need world government. They are trying to say the environment is so bad that it cannot be solved unless we have a world government to do so, and so people need to rally around the United Nations and give it support so that it can be empowered and be strong enough and have enough international laws to enforce this environmental mandate.

But once approved, it will affect every area of our life. It would govern what we believe, how we teach our children, property rights, everything you can imagine, o.k. It is very subtlely written and like I said, there are going to be other documents to back this up, possibly the U.N. Charter revised a little bit itself and a host of others, but this is the general document.

Reading from the top, the preamble states:

We stand at a critical moment in earth’s history a time when humanity must choose its future. As the world becomes increasingly inter-dependent and fragile the future at once holds great peril and great promise. To move forward, we must recognize that in the midst of a magnificent diversity of cultures and life forms, we are one human family and one earth community with a common destiny.

They really push the idea of global unity, but a false unity. This is a not a true kind of unity that the Bible talks about. Continuing on:

It says – We must join together to bring forth a sustainable global society founded on respect for nature, universal human rights, economic justice and a culture of peace. Towards this end it is imperative that we, the peoples of earth, declare our responsibility to one another to the greater community of life and to future generations.

You notice they are talking as if the people of the earth drafted this earth charter. Everything is in the name of the people as if these people are self-declared representatives of the people. This is how they are doing the whole thing. Now the next sub-section of the earth charter is called “Earth Our Home”, Let me read that paragraph – the charter says:

Humanity is part of a vast evolving universe – earth our home is alive with a unique community of life, the forces of nature make existence a demanding and uncertain adventure. But earth has provided the conditions essential to life’s evolution. The resilience of the community of life and the well-being of humanity depend upon preserving a healthy biosphere with all of its ecological systems, a rich variety of plants and animals, fertile soils, pure waters and clean air.

I am sure all of us want to have all that – of course. It goes on to say:

The global environment with its finite resources is a common concern of all peoples. The protection of earth’s vitality, diversity and beauty is a sacred trust.

They are using again the problems with the environment to argue their case, their solution for it and it sounds very seductible – all of what they say sounds good. Now at the back of the Earth Charter, in the final paragraph – I am just going to pick up two or three more statements here. This is under the category or sub-heading ‘The Way Forward’. The charter says:

As never before in history, common destiny beckons us to seek a new beginning. Such renewal is the promise of these Earth Charter principles. To fulfil this promise, we must commit ourselves to adopt and promote the values and objectives of the Charter. This requires a change of mind and heart. It requires a new sense of global interdependence and universal responsibility. We must imaginatively develop and apply the vision of a sustainable life, locally, nationally, regionally and globally. Our cultural diversity is a precious heritage and different cultures will find their own distinctive ways to realise the vision. We must deepen and expand the global dialogue that generated the Earth Charter for we have much to learn from the on-going collabarative search for truth and wisdom.

On going collabarative search for truth and wisdom? We have the truth in God’s Word. See how they slide that in as if we don’t really know the full truth yet. It is evolving and revolving toward the truth. They tie evolution into all this as well as the environment and also religious principles – if you read it carefully. The Charter goes on to say:

In order to build a sustainable global community the nations of the world must renew their commitment to the United Nations, fulfil their obligations for existing international agreements and support the implementation of the Earth Charter principles with an international, legally binding instrument on environment and development.

So that is where it is all going to, proposing an empowered U.N. is the answer to all of these problems. Now if you think this will never get past, you need to be aware of the fact that on June 6th at The Hague in the Netherlands, Europe’s heads of states already expressed their support for the Earth Charter. They did not officially endorse it by signing it, but expressed their verbal support. So the momentum is building already even before the summit takes place.

Now let me take you back to the Millennium Forum. No, let me move ahead one more step. All these developments that are taking place are moving us toward a deadline. What is that deadline? This we are hearing in the news everyday, the September 13th deadline for a Mid-East Peace Accord, right? So we have got all these leaders coming together calling for world peace and unity and we have got this deadline coming up. Now, it is going to be interesting in the days between now and September 13th to see what is going to happen.

Is there going to be an 11th hour last-ditch effort to bring about peace and will there be an agreement signed? And if so, who will be in the middle of that and what will the agreement entail? Could it be the covenant spoken of in Daniel 9:27 where it says “He will confirm a covenant with many for 1/7th”.  We cannot rule out that possibility, that could be the case. However, if talks do not resume, or even if they do, and not all of the agreement is reached, that they are wanting to reach, what would probably happen?

I imagine there would be civil unrest in Israel and possibly throughout the Middle-East, possibly a major war and if that happened, that world leader that could step on to the scene and bring a solution to what is going on there would be worthy, in the world’s eyes of being followed and having more authority than anyone else. So whether it happens now, in the next few weeks or if it goes on for a number of months, or maybe even years yet, on the heels of some international conflict, peace is proposed.

What we are seeing here is all the pieces coming together and the stage being set. We are right there – we are right there for everything else to be able to happen very quickly. What I want to say is, I am not predicting here world government is going to officially be formed this September during these meetings or the day after they end. That could happen, but what I am saying that 5 years from now, if we are still here, I believe we will look back to this September’s events as having been that ‘water-shed moment’ from which time – the push for global government – is pushed forward very quickly. It is a defining, historic moment.

I think that is the way we all should look at this. I don’t think anyone should discredit themselves by making predictions as to what is actually going to happen, and then it not happen and then people say, ‘well, somebody cried wolf’ – this is a bunch of alarmism over nothing – and that is the kind of thing that causes complacency. So we really need to be careful with that.

Now back to the U.N. Millennium Forum. This meeting took place May 22nd to 26th. I already gave some background on it, it is a very important meeting – 1300 people who were there – actually a United Nations event, it was actually held at the United Nations. People getting in had to go through two security clearances – security was very tight.

Now to give you some of the other details. There were two organisations, more than any others, who played a role in organising the meeting on behalf of the United Nations. Again this is so the U.N. could say ‘this was a people’s event’. The two organisations were The World Federalist Movement, if you did research on this movement, that would not surprise you; the other organisation was Franciscans International – Franciscans International – the Roman Catholic organisation.

In fact, the registration process went through Franciscans International. My friend who attended the meeting was registered into the conference through Franciscans International. There were a number of organisations there as well, in fact, the strongest representation was of Catholic organisations including Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace, Sisters of Mercy and a host of other groups. But along with them you had the Ba’hai International Community, The Child Welfare League, The Global Energy Network Institute, Lucis Trust – yes, Lucis Trust was there. This is an organisation that was founded in 1922 under the name of Lucifer Publishing Company – if you don’t believe that, we document that in my book “The New World Religion” in Exhibit C, I believe it is. We reproduce a title page from one of the first books published by Lucifer Publishing Company before they changed their name. That book was written by Alice Bailey.

They were not only present, but they played a major role in the conference and even distributing their ‘Great Invocation Prayer’ – this is an occult prayer which they are hoping people will pray to invoke the ‘coming christ’ as they call him – or the great world teacher that will take his throne upon the world. I kid you not! Obviously we believe they are referring to the Antichrist here, but they are referring to him as ‘the christ’ or ‘the great one’ or as the ‘coming world teacher’. They were handing these out – distributing them at this meeting.

One thing that was interesting was that on the programme that my friend received, Lucis Trust was named in the programme but on the web-site and on the programmes that went out publicly, Lucis Trust’s name was cleverly omitted so they knew full well that some flags would go up if people saw that. Isn’t that interesting? So they know exactly what this organisation is all about. Alice Bailey who founded that group, was a lucerific trance channeler and she wrote her books with the assistance of a spirit guide called Dwal Khul. Whether that is true or not is immaterial, because if it is not true, it meant she was a liar, and if it is true, it means she was in touch with a demonic entity. So either way it was bad because she has had enormous influence on the world, particularly the New Age Movement of today along with people like Helena Blavatsky and other Theosopists.

Back to this U.N. Millennium Forum. I have named just a few of the organisations that were there, Jubilee 2000 was also there. This is that network of organisations represented that are pushing this Jubilee 2000 concept that is coming out of the Vatican. I am sure you have heard quite a bit about that on the new, so they were represented there as well.

Contributing governments to this event included Canada, France, Sweden, The United Kingdom – they contributed directly to make this event possible. Some U.N. offices that were represented – included the Office of the Secretary-General, in fact Koffe Annan gave the opening key-note address, he was there in person – Koffe Annan. Also the U.N. Department of Economic and Social Affairs, the U.N. Department of Public Information as well as U.N.I.C.E.F. and other groups. Some of the more key individuals who were there who either gave speeches or were very instrumental behind the scenes included – I already mentioned Koffe Annan, also Lewis Frechay (sic), U.N. Deputy Secretary-General, Wally Endow (sic), a lot of people are not familiar with his name. He is very prominent in all this as well. He is a high U.N. official and he was Secretary-General of ‘Habitat II’. Maximel Kalah (sic), Chairperson of the U.N. Council. Stephen Rockefeller, Chairman of the Rockefeller Brothers and member of the Earth Charter Management Committee; he is very close to Gorbachev and Maurice Strong. Ignatius Harding, co-Chair of the Franciscans International and a host of other people.

So this kind of sets the stage to give you an idea of who was there. Now here are the recommendations that came out of the main working sessions:

Again Koffe Annan proposed that these international treaties be ratified at the up-coming summit and he urged the people – 1300 some people present at this meeting to go back to their countries and try to influence their governments and their heads of state to ratify these treaties. So there is a public relations campaign already under way behind the scenes through these many organisations – these Non-Government Organisations that were represented through the people there to apply pressure on the governments so that the governments then have a reason to endorse this U.N. agenda. They also called for the creation of a U.N. military force under the direct command of the U.N. Secretary-General. In fact, there is already a ‘SWAT FORCE’ being organised right now that is to have between 5,000 and 10,000 men, its headquarters just north of Copenhagen in Denmark. This is already taking place right now. The U.N. is doing this, more or less, with or without the approval of nations, but there is also house resolutions in Congress right now – if the Congress approved it, it would give the U.N. much more freedom to pursue a global military.

They also talked about a world taxation system being implemented to fund the United Nations. If the U.N. is going to be empowered, they have to have money from somewhere, right? A specific proposal that they are pushing is called “The Tobin Tax” – this is named after the economist James Tobin. If this is approved, a fraction of 1% of all international currency transactions would go to the United Nations in the form of tax. If you have 1/10 of 1% which we hardly would feel at all, it would generate hundreds of billions of dollars a year for the United nations – just a fraction of 1% would do it. So they are going to be pushing this. Walter Kronkite, by the way, has been a big supporter of these developments. He is a World Federalist – he recently received the Global Government’s award – The World Federalists’ Association.

Also, in case you think this will never go through – at least not in your lifetime, what if I told you that Canada’s parliament has already approved the Tobin Tax? So if this goes through the United Nations, Canada would probably be the first nation on board. France is currently considering it. When you consider that and the fact that Pope John Paul IIin his call for the elimination of Third World debt, this year – I realise we only have 4 months left in the year; but he is calling for it to take place this year, we will have to see if that actually happens or not.

But think about it, how can that be done? Billions of dollars are owed and you would have to have a complete restructuring of the world’s economic systems – some major developments in international banking. So the stage is being set – I just don’t know when it is going to happen but we can expect some kind of international tax at some point and a major economic restructuring of some type.

Also, at the Millennium Forum they talked about giving the fledging international criminal court full support, making it fully functional. In other words, giving ‘legal teeth’ to the United Nations to enforce their laws. You could be viewed as being a criminal if you teach that Jesus Christ is the only way, because you might be guilty of a ‘hate crime’ of intolerance by saying that your religion is better than someone else’s.

This is where it is going. These discussions have actually taken place at these meetings, and Jamie told me that at some of the meetings he attended he said that almost all of them identified the fundamentalist Christians as being their main enemy. They actually made those statements at their meetings. So there is a very strong ‘religious’ agenda behind this.

Also they called for the beginning of a World Parliament consisting of – at least in the beginning – of members of various national parliaments from around the world. There is a society of parliamentarians world-wide who support world government; they have their own group – they are having a meeting in just a few days as well in New York City – I forgot to mention that earlier. So you are going to have some of the world’s top parliamentary people who favour world government, expressing their support for all of this. So you could have the beginning of a world parliament involving many of these parliamentarians from around the world. Of course, they would claim that this is all on the up-and-up because they are there to look out for the people of their countries and this is how this is all being built.

And then they are also proposing that there be a type of people’s parliament which I imagine would be similar to this U.N. Millennium Forum where they  get a bunch of people together, claim they represent the people of the world – which they do not, but that is how it would be passed off just to make the local, average person who watched this on the news, feel as though they had some kind of input in all of this.

So these are just a few of the things that are on the agenda that are going to be discussed in September at the meeting. Now it will be very interesting to see what kind of coverage is given to this by the mass-media, whether they will mention any of this or how they will present this to the people. But these are going to be the things discussed, a lot of this again came from Koffe Annan’s mouth. So we know that it is not a ‘fluke’.

Moving right along, at this meeting religion was discussed. They did not talk about politics, the talked about religion, especially in a couple of the ‘closed-door’ meetings. Jamie was able to get into some of these meetings that were smaller meetings – of usually 100 people or less and at those meetings they talked about something called the United Religions Initiative and the Global Ethic. These are two sister documents that set the tempo – set the stage for the future of the world’s spirituality under global government.

The same people involved through the U.N. making the political side happen are involved in this religious side of it also, including Michael Gorbachev, he is very much involved in this.

The United Religions Initiative has been in motion for a long time, but it took a huge jump forward on June 26th of this year at a special ceremony held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where many religious leaders from around the world representing most of the world’s religions appeared to endorse the United Religions Initiative calling for the coming together of the world’s religions and to sign something called “The United Religions Charter” which, by the way, officially created the United Religion Organisation which is going to be headquartered in San Francisco – I should say, is headquartered, now in San Francisco at the Presidio which is the same place at which Michael Gorbachev is headquartered – what a strange coincidence!

So now we are going to have the United Religions, representing the political movement and the United Nations representing the political movement – the religious and political coming together through the United Religions and the United Nations with all of it being interfaced behind the scenes. Now a friend of mine also attended this United Religions initiative charter-signing ceremony – that’s a mouthful. I realise I have thrown a lot of names out there but I want to be somewhat technical so that you don’t misunderstand me.

He has written an article – this is going to be in our newsletter coming up in a couple of weeks and I am going to quote just a couple of paragraphs sharing his experience from this meeting. He says:

Dressed in the garb of the faith traditions supported by the global inter-faith agenda stood in a large circle on the Carnegie-Melum (sic) University campus, located in historic Pittsburgh (this is where the meeting was held). Buddhists, Hindus, Christians, Wickans (in fact three of them at least – that he knew of), New Agers, Muslims, followers of Judaism and Zoroastrianism along with the devotees of the multitude of religions joined together as native spiritualists invoked “the great spirit” and cleansed the circle with smoke from a smudge pot. This was an occult ceremony which they used to kick the whole thing off.

He goes on:

Once the smudge had made it around the group, indigenous drummers from India led the procession to the university centre. United Religions initiative Global Charter signing summit was a officially opened. The Pittsburgh United Religions Summit was a six day event starting on Sunday, June 25th. The actual charter signing officially launched this United Religions body that was held on Monday June 26th, the same day that the United Nations Charter signing took place back in 1945. They did that on purpose because of the symbolism.

He goes on to say:

This was not a coincidence. The United Nations through the vision of  U.N. official Robert Muller and the events surrounding the 50th anniversary was the guiding force behind the creation of the United Religions Initiative. (And we will get into the background of this Initiative and where it came from in just a moment.)

But, let us quote from the charter itself – and we have a copy of that as well. Here is a copy of the finished charter. Guess where this was obtained? This was made available, initially, at the U.N. Millennium Forum showing how these different meetings are dovetailed with each other. The people at the U.N. Millennium Forum knew about this a month before it actually happened – the finished charter.
The Charter’s preamble explains “We unite to support freedom of religion and spiritual expression and the rights of all individuals and peoples” [here is the punch-line] “As set forth in international law.” It is whatever rights international law decides to give us, those are the freedoms we are going to have. So if you read just the first part of it, it sounds good, but you all need to read these things very carefully – all the way through.

The Reverend Gerard O’Rourke, Rector of the Roman Catholic Archdiocease of San Francisco, Ecumenical and Inter-Religious Affairs Office gave a firm rebuttal to a particular article that ran that day in the Pittsburgh, the main Pittsburgh newspaper which stated that Roman Catholicism did not support this meeting and we would have believed that if that was all we knew. Because our friend was at the meeting, he heard this Roman Catholic higher up individual make the following statement that day – he said:

I want to correct something that I saw in your paper today in this city. I am here officially as a member of the Catholic Church and this is where I should be – I am officially here, its where the Church should be right now and it is here, bless you all.

Then afterwards, my friend says, immediately following the charter signing, I asked Reverend O’Rourke about the role of the Vatican and the global inter-faith agenda. He told me that the Roman Catholic Church had received guidance from Pope John Paul II through his words and his inter-religious activities that interfaith-ism is to be vigorously pursued. O’Rourke reminded me that the Catholic Church since the 1962 Second Vatican Council also known as Vatican II had dedicated itself to advancing global inter-religious co-operation. He also told me that at least seven other Roman Catholic priests, each highly respected within Catholicism were present at the charter signing and had offered their support to its goals.

My friend would not have even known if this priest had not shared the information with him. So what you see publicly and what is going on behind the scenes is sometimes two completely different things. That is just the tip of the iceberg but I need to move on here.

Let me go into some of the background – religions initiative – this to me is every bit as important as the political developments taking place at the up-coming summit. It is so important that you understand the beginnings of this charter. Robert Muller, who I just mentioned moments ago, he is referred to sometimes as the U.N. Prophet of Hope and that is because he served as U.N. Assistant Secretary-General for over 40 years in numerous administrations under numerous U.N. Secretary-Generals and had quite a spiritual influence on quite a lot of them at the U.N.

He comes from a Roman Catholic background, in fact, he organised the Pope’s trip to the United Nations, but he is on the New Age lecture circuit, speaks all around the world at different New Age conferences and conventions. He has played a vital role in public education in the U.N. trying to get this agenda in to the schools through a new curriculum called the World Core Curriculum and other curriculums based upon the World Core Curriculum. He is plugged into this in many different ways but I want to give you a little bit of background on him because it is Robert Muller, the same individual who unveiled his concept and his plan for a united religions and he did so, where? In Chicago at the Parliament of World Religions meeting back in 1993. Now that event did get quite a bit of media coverage, quite a lot of positive coverage. He was there, he gave a key-note address kicking this thing off and called for a united religions. So anyone who was there would have known about this already being in motion way back since 1993.

Muller, in his speech at the Parliament of World Religions stated, and I quote “Do not worry if not all religions join the United Religions Organisation. Many nations did not join the U.N. in its beginning but later regretted it and made every effort to join. It was the same with the European Community and it will the case with the world’s religions because whoever stays out or aloof will sooner or later regret it.” (end quote).

And if you are wondering where his spirituality is coming from, we have a whole appendix section just devoted to Robert Muller quotes because they are so blatant. But this one is a summary, he says:

“Peace will be impossible without the taming of fundamentalism through a united religions that professes faithfulness only to the global spirituality and to the health of this planet.”
This is this environmental/ecology/earth centered/mother earth pantheistic religion. It goes on to say:

“The world’s major religions, in the end all want the same thing, even though they were born in different places and circumstances on this planet. What the world needs today is a convergence of the different religions in the search for and definition of the cosmic or divine laws which ought to regulate our behaviour on this planet.”

Friends, we have already been given the laws to regulate this planet. All you have to do is to read the Bible. But they are saying these all have yet to be created, we are evolving toward that point. He goes on to say “World-wide spiritual ecumenism expressed in new forms of religious cooperation and institutions would probably be closest to the heart of the resurrected Christ.” (end quote). He does it all in the name of Christ and this something you need to be aware of at all these meetings – I am talking about occult meetings in some cases. They talk about Christ. Even at the U.N. Millennium Forum they talk about Christ, but they have completely redefined Christ. They are not talking about the Jesus Christ of the Bible anymore. They have moved so far away from that they have given an occultic interpretation to the person of Jesus Christ, and if I have time I will go into a little bit of that later on here.

Now, even though Robert Muller helped to launch this united religions, you can trace it back to him and the United Nations, it was Bishop William Swing, an Episcopalian priest from San Francisco who is now the chief spokesperson on behalf of the united religions. He was called by the United Nations to organise an inter-faith meeting on their behalf and that is how this whole thing was kicked off and that is how he came to be involved in this. So it goes back again to the United Nations, whether you go through Robert Muller or directly to the U.N. you can take either path, it ends up back with the United Nations with this united religions charter, initiatives and organisation came to be.

Now, Bishop William Swing – quote – he says “The United Religions Initiative, if successful would be a spiritual United Nations. And what better place to give it birth than the bay area which gave birth to the present U.N.” The only reason I wanted to read that quote is so you can realise I am not jumping to conclusions. They actually make these statements, I am summarising this evening but all these statements I can back up with documentation.

He also stated “We want to in the year 2000 have it signed” (he is talking about the charter, the United Religions Charter). He says “In the year 2000 we want to have it signed by 60 million people of the world”. That is this year and that process began in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the ceremony on June 26th and it is now in motion. They have got signatures flooding in through the Internet and every way imaginable, whether or not they are going to get 60 million, I don’t know, they are going to get a whole lot of them. Then what do you suppose they are going to do with this? They are going to say the people of the world want us to do this.

They are voting for this in a democratic way and they are not coercing people to sign this. Unfortunately, there is enough sin in the world today, and enough deception and belief in interfaith-ism that people are volunteering to run behind this and sign it. Maybe they would not do that if they realise where this was all coming from. They themselves are blinded and deceived in this regard.

Swing has been a busy person. Reverend Swing has, since the mid 1990s, he has been travelling all around the world getting support for this United Religions Initiative. I want to share with you a short, actually, it is a lengthly quote which names some of the individuals who he has met with and it is important to get some of these names. A few of them I may not pronounce quite right, the last time I tried to pronounce them I almost began laughing with a few of these names. If that happens tonight, I apologise in advance. He says:

“In February, 1996 I started a long trek around the world, starting in India with the Maura Toma in Kaurala, the Shunkar Taurea of Kanchipurarm in Madras, Mother Teresa and Dr. Kuran Singhe in Calcutta. The metropolitan bishop Valu Margragorious in Numerus, Ba’hai, Sikh, Jane, Muslim, Zoroastrian leaders and Archibishop Fernandez in Delhi and the Dali Lama in Derusamala. Interestingly, they started off in India of all places the hot bed of Hinduism, I find that significant and getting these endorsements from these people.

I was able to meet with numerous Muslim religious leaders, ambassadors, writers, politicians and supreme court justices. In Egypt, I met with the Orthodox Coptic Pope, Shenuda III and with Dr. Mohammed Saied Tontawe who at the time was the Grand Mufti but has since been elevated to the office of Shiek of Alazar. In Jerusalem, I met with Rabbi Mordecai Peronne and numerous other Rabbis and religious leaders.

In Amman, Jordan, with representatives of the only Muslim interfaith institute in the world, that of the Crown Prince of Jordan – (how many of you knew that? The family of Jordan has under them a type of interfaith institute). Continuing on, he says –

In Instanbul, he met with the ecumenical Patriach Batholemew. In Geneva, the World Council of Churches. (No surprise there). In Tiebing, Germany the Reverend Dr. Hans Kung (more on him in just a moment) and in Rome with Archbishop Fitzgerald, Cardinal Arinze and Pope John Paul II. And in England with the Archbishop of Canterbury and Sir Sigmund Sternberg. I am sure he has met with other people since, but he has covered the bases right there. This was way back in 1996.

Just a little bit on Dr. Hans Kung. He is a key player in all this. He is a Catholic priest from Tiebing in Germany and he is the one who drafted “The Global Ethic” which is the sister-document to the United Religions Charter. Here is what he says – I will read one quote on this one:

“Any form of church conservatism is to be rejected, to put it bluntly, no regressive or repressive religion whether Christian, Islamic, Jewish or whatever providence has a long-term future, if ethics is to function for the well-being of all it must be indivisible. The undivided world increasingly needs an undivided ethic. What we need is an ecumenical world order” (end of quote).

He also made clear that the participation in this new ‘ethic’ will not be optional. So much for freedom of religion and expression! So we have the United Religious Charter and the Global Ethic going hand in hand.

Bishop William Swing shortly after coming back from that trip in 1996 where he met Hans Kung and these others, focussed his energies in hosting a Global Interfaith Summit in June of that year. The conference was held in San Francisco and it had a couple of co-sponsors – the co-sponsors were the Gorbachev Foundation and The World Conference on Religion and Peace. Also known as the WCRP – the World Conference on Religion and Peace. This is an organisation with very strong Catholic presentation tying right back into the Vatican. So two main co-sponsors again – Gorbachev, whose name keeps poping up here and the Vatican directly through this organisation.

So I want to put all this in perspective for you. You have got the Global Ethic United Religions Charter, moving forward under the United Religions Organisation that is directly connected into the United Nations and on the political end, you have the Earth Charter – you also have the U.N. Charter which I believe will be given some teeth and possibly modified to some extent. All this coming together around the United Nations with the main players being at this point, the Gorbachev Foundation and the Vatican. There are other groups that tie in but in every single case they are always tied back into one of those two of those organisations. I believe anybody who did research, open minded, would come to the same conclusions – there is just no way around that fact.

What I could have done tonight, but I am not going to is show an 8 minute excerpt out of a video tape. I did this at the Bible Prophecy conference that I spoke at and it is on the video tape ‘Global Events in the Year 2000 Countdown to Daniel’s Final Week’ – it is an 8 minute video excerpt showing Pope John Paul II’s meeting in Rome with the Dali Lama, Archbishop of Canterbury, Islamic leaders, Buddhist leaders, Hindu leaders – in fact, I believe native American Indians opened up the ceremony with the smoking of a peace pipe. This is all on that video which we have – it is a kind of thing that you have to see to believe. That is why I put it in there because I wanted people to actually see that – how certain Christian leaders can be drawn into this is beyond me. You would have to have your eyes completely closed or just be incredibly deceived to go along with this agenda.

Gorbachev has been very supportive of Pope John Paul II and they have been close allies in this, so it is not just me surmising this from the evidence, but we have some direct quotes and to set the stage a little bit further here, and tie Pope John Paul II just a little more into things before I tie him directly to Gorbachev, let me share with you a little more about this World Conference on Religion and Peace that I said is this Catholic Organisation or at least, heavily influenced by Catholic leaders.

That organisation started in 1970 with Angelo Fernandez, the Catholic Archbishop of New Delhi, India so it actually was ‘birthed’ in India – he served as its first head. It is officially a United Nations Non Governmental Organisation so again there is a direct connection with the U.N. Among its plans is an International Centre for Conflict Resolution funded by the Rockefeller Foundation. So here we have the economic side coming into it. The Rockefeller family, in this country at least, is probably the pre-eminent family supporting these efforts financially along with Ted Turner and a few others.

The first session of this organisation’s sixth general assembly in 1994 was hosted by the Vatican. Actually hosted by the Vatican. Speakers included Hans Kung, Milan’s Cardinal Martini – a high-level Jesuit, the president of the Rockefeller Foundation and Roger Cardinal Etchegiri – he is the priest that organised Pope John Paul II’s meeting in Assisi in Italy – the interfaith meeting that we had on that tape. According to inside the Vatican, Pope listened to Koranic verses and Jewish as well as Shinto, Buddhist and Hindu invocations for peace.

The conference’s final declaration affirmed (quote) “The sacredness of the earth and our unity with it”.Enough said. I think I have taken the Pope as far as I can and I could give you more quotes but I think I have made my case here. Let’s move on to the statement from Michael Gorbachev regarding Pope John Paul II. This is on page 241 of my book  “The New World Religion”. Michael Gorbachev says:

I have carried on an intense correspondence with Pope John Paul II since we met at the Vatican in December, 1989. The sense of mutual affection and understanding which resulted from our meeting can be found in each of our letters. I cannot help but say, we share a desire to move forward and complete what we began together.”

That is a powerful statement – (Gary read the statement again). What did they begin together? Well it goes on – he says:

When I with him I realised that the Pope had also played a role in what we came to call ‘The New Political Thinking’. What I have always held in high esteem about the Pope’s thinking and ideas is their spiritual content, their striving to foster the development of a new world civilization. It can be said that everything that has taken place in Eastern Europe in recent years would have been impossible without the Pope’s efforts and enormous role including the political role he played in the world arena.” (end of quote)

If that is not enough, at the meeting that Gorbachev referred to here, taking place in 1989 in Rome, specifically on December 1st, Michael Gorbachev knelt at the Pope’s feet, it didn’t make the mass-media either, but we agree that should have been significant enough to be on the evening news. He also stated his belief that Pope John Paul II is  (quote) “the world highest moral authority” (end quote). This is Michael Gorbachev making this statement. Enough regarding Michael Gorbachev and the Pope.

Let us bring it home to what is going on right now. I talked earlier about the Middle East Peace Summit or push toward a peace agreement by September 13th. The Vatican is involved in the middle of that as well, and has gotten just a little bit of media coverage but hardly none. You know that almost everything that is taking place now is being run through the Vatican on this Mid-East Peace Initiative? How do I know that? Because I have got the proof right here.

This came from the Vatican Information Service which we took off the Web on Monday August 14th and it offers a summary of what took place between August 12th and the 14th and I will jump over here to the coverage of what took place at the Vatican on August 14th. It says:

At mid-day today, Cero Beneditini, vice director of the Holy See Press Office made the following declaration: “Today, Monday August 14th in the late morning, Archbishop Jon Louis Tarron, Secretary for relations with states received in audience Shlomo Ben Omni, ……Minister for Foreign Affairs for the State of Israel who has come to the Vatican to exchange viewpoints on the Mid-East Peace Process  particularly following the recent Camp David Summit. The minister expressed the Israeli Government’s wish to continue negotiations despite the difficulties and favoured dialogue with the Palestinian authority with the help too, of the International Community. Archbishop Tarron explained the Holy See’s well-known position on the peace process. Respect for international law by all sides especially as regards U.N. resolutions – this is the Vatican making this statement – and equal rights and duties for all peoples of the region. These are two indispensible requirements to put an end to a situation of injustice and insecurity. Part of the conversation was also dedicated to the protection of the holy sites of the three great religions of the Holy Land and especially of those sites in the City of Jerusalem, that for the Holy See constitutes a heritage sacred to all believers and that have a universal value. (end quote).

The gist of what took place in Rome at the Vatican. You see,  Israeli leaders realise that they have got to have some backing from the Vatican or try to get them on their side with some of these negotiations to enable them to go anywhere. They recognise the hidden influence of the Vatican here. But perhaps the most tell-tale quote that I have, we received last February came in from Israel from Bereian ……Segal, we are on their prayer news letter – we get their fax regularly and they had a ‘blurb’ in here which is quite amazing and I will read it directly from this. This was their prayer letter of Friday, March 10th of the year 2000. It says:

‘Arafat, Pope signed joint Jerusalem Declaration.’ How many of you knew that took place? Any of you? It says ‘Palistinian Authority chairman Mr. Arafat and Pope John Paul II met at the Vatican on February 15th to sign an accord to normalise relations between the Palestinian Authority and Roman Catholic Churches in Jerusalem. Palestinian Legislative Council Speaker, Ahmed Kurie told the Jerusalem Pope that the agreement indicates a recognition by the Catholic Church of Palestinian claims to the city.’ He said ‘The Palestinian authority was lobbying international support for its claim to East Jerusalem. The Vatican has called Israel’s annexation of East Jerusalem illegal and does not recognise Israeli sovereignty there. The Israeli Government accused the Vatican of interfering in the peace talks with the Palestinians by signing an accord with the P.L.O. The agreement is an interference in the negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians and we regret this.’ The foreign ministry said. (end quote)

So some agreements have already been signed regarding this Mid-East Peace – we just haven’t been told about it. There are agreements being signed literally leading up to the main agreement and again whether it comes in the next few days or if there is war first and it comes down the line, the stage is being set here. We have never been to this point before as right now when you look at everything that is coming together in the next few weeks.

Daniel 9:27 says that the antichrist will confirm a covenant with many for 1/7th – we need to keep our eyes and ears open in case it is going to happen soon, in the weeks ahead or in the next few years – I believe we are right at the door. Who will the antichrist be? I don’t know, I don’t care to speculate, I have my own ideas. I think everybody has certain thoughts in their mind about that, but I will go this far – right now the two top figures involved in this process are Michael Gorbachev and Pope John Paul II. But I also realise this Pope could die tomorrow and if he did, the next Pope would probably carry this forward. It probably doesn’t matter much who the Pope is, because this agenda is so entrenched in the Vatican and is being pursued so vigorously.

And as far as Michael Gorbachev is concerned, although he will be addressing the U.N. here in just a few days, and is very much involved in this, there may be someone more powerful and more influential behind the scenes that has not yet stepped up and so that is why we never know until it actually happens. The important thing is to recognise these things as they happen and until they happen, we need to be aware of what Scripture has to say about it, that when it does happen we are in no way deceived or deluded by these developments.

Have any of you ever heard of a gentleman by the name of Benjamin Crème? A number of you have. I am going to go off on a little bit of a tangent here but I believe this is really interesting and ties in with the rest of this evening’s subject matter.

Benjamin Crème is the self-proclaimed spokesperson for a ‘being’ – and I am calling him a ‘being’ because I am not sure he is a human being, but for a ‘being’ by the name of Lord Maitrea – this is just one of the several names this being goes by – he also goes by the name of ‘The Christ’, ‘The Great One’, ‘The World Teacher’. Maitrea is a Buddhist term – that is the one that is used most frequently. Well, this being is allegedly to step on the scene in the not-too-distant-future with all the answers to the world’s problems and the people of the world and the leaders of the world will give to him their authority and allow him to step in. This is according to Benjamin Crème. How do I know this? If you be in our house for one week, believe all the things that happen, I do not take any credit for this information because the Lord brings it all and practically drops it in our lap. The way I came to know about some of these statements from Benjamin Crème – I had heard about them before and done some research – I have a lot more information as the result of what happened.

I was invited by a talk show host in Indiana to host a programme with him because he was interviewing Benjamin Crème and he wanted some help in hosting the programme because of the strong spiritual overtones. It just so happened that an old friend of mine who I had not seen for over 5 years worked now for this talk show host, organising the interviews for him. He thought of the idea of calling Garry Kah and so Stan – Stan Solomon, the talk show host called and I ended up being on this programme.

We agreed up front – Stan and I did – that during the first hour we would not reveal to Benjamin Crème where we were coming from otherwise he would clam up and not really share what he really believes -–perhaps. So I prayed for wisdom as we were going on the air “Lord, give me the words to speak” and an idea came to mind. After the introductions were made and everything and Stan said a few things and Benjamin Crème made a few statements, I jumped in and said – “Benjamin, this is Garry Kah speaking.” I said “I have been a student of the Mysteries for many years.” Which I have been as a researcher but I though that might open him up – and it did. He began volunteering information right, left and right – it did the trick! Thank you Lord.

 And the things that he shared on this programme were so blatant and so incredible it is hard to believe. I mentioned the fact that I had read a number of Alice Bailey’s books – out of the Lucifer Publishing Company and he stepped right in and said “Alice Bailey – oh yes, I am familiar with all her writings – I believe what she does, she is right on target” and he went right on and on about this. Then he talked about the role of Freemasonry in this hidden agenda behind the scenes and had been working and trying to bring this agenda about for years and years. He went on about Freemasonry. He also made other statements about his spirituality and what he really believes and between what he said on the talk show and what I already knew from copies of his books that I had, that I quoted from and in some cases on the programme.

Here is what he believes: He believes that the Lord Maitrea or that this Maitrea spirit overshadowed Jesus Christ during the time Jesus walked the earth and that is why Jesus had all these powers. He was overshadowed by this Maitrea spirit. As was Buddah and anumber of other great religious leaders of the world. Ane this Maitrea spirit is above all, it’s the most powerful and this is the spirit working through this ‘being’ – who is supposed to step on the scene here at some point in the future. But regarding Jesus – Christ – he refers to him now as simply being the ‘Master Jesus’ – a type of ascended master or spirit guide.

So they put an occult twist to all this. They redefine the person of Jesus Christ. He also talked a lot about reincarnation-type ideas and theology and that was no surprise at all there. But I was aware of a statement he made on another programme a couple of weeks earlier and so I brought it in on this interview. I mentioned something to him about a couple of people from the Vatican who he alleged had met with Maitrea – whoever this Maitrea is and that they were supportive of him. He went on – he mentioned a number of things regarding Rome. One statement he made he said ‘The Master Jesus resides in the seat of Rome’. So your guess is as good as mine as to what he means by that. If you understand what he means by the ‘Master Jesus’, he is literally referring here to a demonic entity – a spirit guide (s) which are actually demonic beings.

So if that is the case and this demonic being resides in the seat of Rome, you can assure the Vatican is going to support this and move this agenda forward. I believe that is what he was saying directly. But then he went on to say – again responding to some of our questions – he said that Maitrea would reveal himself on television and that a major United States Network already agreed to give coverage to this when it happens. He would not reveal which network it was, but I would not be surprised if it is C.N.N. because of Ted Turner, but I cannot say that for sure.

So then I probed him as to when – he said he could be this year, but he didn’t think so – more than likely it would be next year or the year after. O.K. He claims that Lord Maitrea will reveal himself on television and that people intuned to his kind of spirituality, wherever they are around the world, when they see him, they will recognise him as being their world leader and telepathically will receive this message and begin to follow him. This will start a wave that goes around the country. But he made a sound like it would actually start here in the United States, in fact I think he did say that.

There are a couple of possibilities here, either this guy is totally out-to-lunch and this is a deception within a deception to get us – to prevent us – from recognising the real antichrist when he steps on the scene by thinking that this (Maitrea) in the antichrist – that’s a possibility. Even if that is the case, this Maitrea individual would be AN antichrist who would be evil from that stand-point. But one thing that caused me to open up my mind a little bit is that he could possibly be referring to the actual antichrist. He said that Lord Maitrea would not reveal himself under that title – as Maitrea – so if you are waiting for someone to step on the scene and say “I am Maitrea”, Crème says that is not how it will happen, that this will be some figure that steps on the scene and seems to have all the answers to the world’s problems – economically as well as how to bring about world peace, so on and so forth.

So it could be any of these other individuals I have named this evening or somebody else – so that makes it more viable. This may actually be the way it happens, I don’t know - but we must have our eyes open. In the time table that he set – that is his time table. I want you to understand, I do not believe in setting dates – it would be foolish for me because we don’t know what is going to happen here. But again, if this is what they are saying and if these people are pushing this agenda, you know they are wanting this to happen soon and the push is really on.

I thought you would be very interest in hearing that radio conversation that I had with Benjamin Crème. You know a passage of Scripture that comes to mind, more than any other, is from Matthew 24 because of what Jesus has to say there. We have talked a lot this evening about global government/world religions coming together, global politics coming together, but the biggest deception of all is the deception that comes in the name of Christ and this Lord Maitrea is referred to as The Christ by those who recognise him. Jesus in Matthew 24 verse 4 said:

“Watch out that no one deceives you for many will come in My Name claiming that I am the Christ and deceive many.”

How applicable this is to what is taking place today. In verse 23 Jesus said:

“If anyone says to you – ‘look here is the Christ or there is the Christ’ do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect, if that were possible. See I have told ahead of time.”

We are seeing this happening today. Whoever would have thought twenty years ago that the New Age Movement would actually step on the scene promoting this Global Government and World Unity and World Religions in the name of Christ – but along the way they realised that there were too many Christians out there and somehow they had to be neutralised if this agenda is ever going to pulled off. Or if possible, in the case of niave Christians, maybe even get them to support this agenda, unwittingly not realising what it is really all about.

Today, my friends, it is sad to say that is happening. Thousands of Christians around the country and around the world are supporting this agenda. Remember what I said at the outset? How important it is to know the Bible and to know current events – here’s why:

Sometime back I met a really neat, Godly family. They know the Bible thoroughly but they were sending money – they were rather well off – they were sending money to organisations directly tied in to making this agenda take place. Organisations whose leaders are involved in the occult. So without even realising it, they were sending money there in the name of the environment because they believed this group was helping to solve environmental problems. They are actually helping souls to move away from God and towards Satan in this process. That is why it is important that we know the Bible and know current events and that we make sure that the Christ we are following is Jesus Christ of Scripture. Not one who has been redefined with a whole new concept – like this concept from Benjamin Crème.

I have thrown a lot at you this evening – we have covered a lot of different things, a lot of names of different organisations and people, spiritual ideas behind this one world movement and there is a lot more that I could go into but, if you want to study this in more detail that’s why we have the book and the video and this special report and I hope you take advantage of that and help multiply this information. Don’t read it and view the video and sit on it. Limit yourself to a few days and pass it on to someone else. Ask them to give it back to you within a few days and pass it on to someone else and keep doing that.

The hour is so late – I believe this will all my heart, we have to have a healthy sense of urgency to get this out – we cannot sit home at night, kick back. Yes, we do need to relax – we don’t want to lose the peace of the Lord, we need to have the peace of the Lord throughout this. But some people believe that in order to have the peace of the Lord you can’t work real hard. When you look at the example of the Apostle Paul, he gave everything he had – he ran the race to win – that is how we need to run it. If we have unsaved relatives, friends, people we work with – what are you doing about bringing them to the Lord?

You see how huge this deception is? They don’t stand a chance unless they get grounded quickly in the Word of God and before they do that, they have to accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour – that is where it all begins. You know our generation of young people are being set up for this through the films that are out there, through a lot of the stuff that is on television and often times you cannot tell them anything because they think they are too smart and they have got it all figured out.

Part of the problem, quite honestly, has been the hypocrisy over the last generation that they have seen from people. It has done a great deal of damage to the body of Christ, especially in this country and perhaps many people who profess to be Christians aren’t even Christians I don’t know. But it is possible for Christians to stumble and fall and the Lord does forgive. But there has been such a wave of hypocrisy over the last few decades that we have lost a lot of people.

I know how young people think because I have young people at home and we were youth counsellors in a youth group for a long time. The first thing Christian adults need to do is to start practicing what they preach. If you are going to read the Bible and if you are going to preach it to your young person, you need to be living it up front. If you give it your best shot, they are going to realise you are not perfect, but they are going to appreciate Mum and Dad and the fact that they are trying to toe the line and do what is right.

We know of young people, even in our church, that are so incredibly ‘messed up’ – their minds – they open themselves up to the occult at a young age because they did not know it was the occult. At least not initially, and now they are hooked on it and so far into it, it is hard for them to get out of it.

In Noblesville, Indiana – this is a conservative area, generally, we have a friend of ours at church who has got a nice looking young man, 15 years old. Looks like he just stepped out of G.Q. Magazine, I mean a handsome guy. You would never think that he would be marked, but he is a firm Christian, has made a commitment to Jesus Christ – probably be going into the ministry. These people have had kids from the school, in the neighbourhood, showing up at their door step threatening him because he is a Christian. Threatening all kinds of things that they are going to do to him because he will not do the things that they are doing.

This is happening in conservative Indiana – Satan is all over the place. Wiccans – and kids think they are cool! Dressing up looking like Satanists, having their bodies pierced all over the place – I am not saying you are going to go to hell if you have your body pierced. But do you realise that it all came out of the Satanic movement? If you study where this is coming from? People don’t know that today, but it is. So you are just glorifying Satan when you do that kind of thing.

Why in the world would you want to be a Satanist – or do you want to follow these things? I mean, how in the world is that ‘Cool?  Where do you think that is going to take you? Eventually most people who are involved in Satanism long enough either sacrifice the animals or human beings or themselves on the altar of Satan – through committing suicide. Many of these kids end up committing suicide. They spend eternity in a burning hell.

Talk about a powerful delusion and yet Satan takes it one step at a time and takes people in that direction. Right now he is taking the world one step at a time in that direction through these events coming up in the United Nations and the United Religions and this interfaith-ism coming together just like Scripture foretold. Now we are not going to be able to stop this, but we need to be aware of it so that we are not seduced by the false teachings and the more people we can warn in advance before this happens, the more the Lord will be glorified through that. We are His representatives here on this earth and He moves through people who are obedient to Him. So my challenge is – be an obedient Christian – don’t accept Jesus Christ and stop there. Live for Him every day – live for Him – die to self. There is an incredible freedom that comes in dying to self and it is a struggle every day. Paul struggled with it and we all struggle with it. Every day when we get up you have to renew your commitment and say “Lord, today with your help and the help of your Holy Spirit living within me, I am going to live with you, keep me on track, help me to die to self, help me not to become impatient with everything going on around me. Just give me your patience, your steadfastness, your insight and discernment for everything that I have to deal with today.”

And He will, but He is not going to do that if we are not going to get on our knees before Him and seek Him for help because we cannot do it in our own strength. So the theme of tonight – know the Bible inside and out. Know current events – you have to do both to be discerning and most of all you need the empowerment of the Holy Spirit in your life to see through these things. You have to be living for Christ every day. Amen?
